Why does it have to walk when it can fly?

Well at some point it stops being a beaver, and just ends up as a hovering ball of spikes.

That does sound like a mix between pretty badass, and pretty painful.

what if you first made a beaver koloss, then added further spikes to turn it into a fullborn. That should solve the size issue.

Would that look like a big blue beaver?

Likely however it would need to be spiked just so to give it enough connection to ascend to the Shard of Ikea!

And now I have a weird alternate universe version of a Primus song in my head.

What hair colour did koloss have again? Beavers have hair, right?

@Calderis this may in fact be true in the wrong hands/paws, but in the right ones the price of furniture will come down, dense forests will be cleared, and the dam business will get a boost.

First, this question is both stupid, and incredibly great. I believe you could do that, IF you also mutated the beaver with spikes so it was very intelligent. Otherwise there is only one other way it could be an evil beaver overlord.

Well, most untrained Allomancers have an instinctive ability to use their metals without knowing what they're doing, so I expect the beaver would have at least some degree of control. Also, depending on when this happened, Ruin might be able to instruct the beaver in using its powers, which would be pretty troubling.

If ruin took over a beaver it may very well become a sort of creepy super-inquisitor, but as a beaver so full of spikes it would look like a walking pincushion. It is possible it would turn good though, and become a hero. I can see it know 'Mistborn: The Beaver Rises'.

Also, what would happen if a beaver (or other non-human species) took up a shard? Would it become enlightened, and become intelligent? Or would it stay and animal, causing chaos with it's huge levels of power?

So this still relates to the beaver, but doesn’t answer questions.

What if said beaver became Marsh’s pet? Would said beaver become Death’s assistant? Also, would said beaver also have a life span proportionate to that of HUMAN Inquisitors, or just as long?

Just saying, this thread is great.

Well, humans need three spikes for Harmony to "interfere," but kandra only need two. Since beavers are small rodents, they would probably only need one to be taken over by a soother or rioter or harmony.

All the Kandra's intelligence comes from their spikes as mistwraiths were primal creatures. Also I believe that Kandra only needed two., but humans need three because you humans are stubborn gits.

Kandra intelligence comes from themselves. They have a block separating their Cognitive aspect from integrating properly with the physical, and spikes bypass that.

The spike doesn't grant them intelligence directly, it just fixes a problem that TLR built into them.

The part of the Kandra that would fight control actually came from the spike, so the spikes already were manipulating their consciousnesses so Harmony just has to change the thoughts that the shard is already triggering.

No it's the Kandras' minds, the spikes are what allow the Kandras' to be controlled.

I fail to see how a Hemalurgic beaver is ridiculous. I can see very practical ways it could be important for day-to-day life.

We also began to form the slothquisitors of the sloth ministry and discovered how we could mass farm hemalurgic spikes with only a little lerasium. All on top of our discussion of the evil beaver overlord spikeball mess thing that is absolutely terrifying.

This has got to be the most useful, powerful, amazing, and knowledgeable thread in existence
