Ammanas
So I was relistening to Alloy of Law and on the way to the Vanisher hideout in ch 10 Marasi says, "That will tell us if this place is really a hideout, or if Wayne's source was trying to lead us to a bad alloy." So unless I wasn't paying attention while listening (always a possibility) "alloy" up until now has always meant a mixture of metals. Is it also a slang term for "intel" or "source"? What exactly does alloy mean in this instance?

I'd reckon "bad alloy" is Metalborn slang in more that just intel. "Bad alloy" could mean literal bad alloys, a trap, leading you astray, etc... In this specific instance: "trying to lead us to a bad alloy" would be like leading us to a trap. Like burning a bad alloy, walking into a trap is "not good" for your health, now is it?
Ammanas
@The One Who Connects Many thanks! It is such a small thing, but the question kept spinning around in my head driving me crazy! What you said makes perfect sense.
Calderis he/him
I can totally see them calling a person a bad alloy too, the same way we'd call someone a "bad egg" or "bad apple"
