Jofwu he/him
Challenge: Rewrite Brandon's books as a (brief) children's story! I'm not much of a writer, but I'll start off with a poor attempt. Curious what others can come up with! Elantris: Spoiler Once upon a time there was a magical city full of magical people called Elantrians. They had silver hair and glowing skin, and anyone from all over the countryside could come to seek their help. But one day there was a great earthquake, and suddenly the Elantrians got very sick. Their silver hair fell out, their glowing skin turned dark and spotty, and their magic no longer worked. The city's gates were locked, and it became a prison for people who caught the disease. One day a man named Raoden became an Elantrian. He was thrown into the city and found that the people living there were miserable. No matter how careful they were, their bodies always hurt. No matter how much food they ate, their stomachs were never full. This had turned them into selfish, angry people. But Raoden believed there was a better way. Instead of taking food from others he practiced going without, and before long it wasn't so hard being hungry all the time. Instead of being very careful not to get hurt he put himself at risk to help other people. And Raoden found that helping others gave him the motivation to keep going every day. After Raoden taught all the Elantrians how to live the better way, the people stopped fighting and began to help one another. As friends, they were able to accomplish great things, and together they discovered the reason for their sickness. They found a library full of ancient books that explained how to use the old magic of the Elantrians. With help from his friends. Raoden used the magic to heal himself and all the other Elantrians. Once again their hair grew long and silvery and their skin began to glow. The whole city began to glow, and it still does today.
