I ordered the hardcover because I need a hardcover collection of all my books, but I'm getting the kindle version to read (plus it'll be available to read sooner than the book will arrive via amazon). I'll use the hardcover to reference details about artworks I can't see details of in the ebook. But since I got my Kindle, I've found it easier to read.

I'll buy me a Hardcover on release day, and see if I can hold out on the e-book until I can find it on sale. I'll probably end up buying the e-book at full price though because it's so much easier to find quotes in and do research with.

I love saving quotes with the ebook. I'm doing that with my reread of WoK right now and I'm highlighting references of surgebinding that I never noticed before, Hoid references, and other signs of foreshadowing. I plan on doing the same thing with WoR. It makes it much easier to post theories with supporting quotes here too.

I just pre ordered the eBook. I much prefer hardbacks, but eBooks are much easier to search, as well as carry around. I'll get the hardcover from my library once it comes in. I wouldn't get an audiobook for myself, but maybe for my mom later down the line, who almost never has time for reading.

Hardcover all the way. Just the weight of the book in my hands makes my day. Also, I love the smell of new books. I know that sounds really weird, but when I got my copy of Hyrule Historia, the first thing I wanted to do was read it. The second thing I wanted to do was smell it.

Also, and this may mortify some of you, they make great platforms for putting your cups and food on while you sit down on the couch.

That most certainly shocks me. My aunt is a librarian, and my instincts are not happy right now. As long as you don't stain the book, I guess.

That topic is about which is a better value and which he should buy first. There are replies that would fit perfectly in here though. ;)

I don't have the space really for the hardcover, but I love the art. Do we know if either the kindle, or at least the ibook version will include the art this time? If I can know that I'd likely get the ebook as well as the hardcover and audiobook I've already ordered.

From another recent thread:

Current plan is for the new ebook illustrations to be higher resolution than the old high-res ones we put on the website—with a high enough resolution to look good on retina screens. We'll see if it actually happens, though initial signs look good. But anyway the images we gave them to put in the ebook will be the exact ones that we also put up on the website.
