Calderis he/him Posted May 10, 2017 Posted May 10, 2017 I'm sure there's a passage about how they imported grapes, and wine is ridiculously expensive because of the amount of water needed, and that the grapes produced are so small and shriveled. It's why the Admiral drank so much despite hating wine. The cost. 1

He mentions that with all the expense and effort necessary to turn the grapes into wine a single bottle of the stuff costs upwards of a thousand lak. To put that in perspective, the Darksiders exchange gemstones for 'several thousand lak each' and it's suggested that a couple hundreds of lak is enough money to live on for for a few months. So they can make wine on Dayside but it's difficult and priced accordingly. 1
