Medallions and Allomancy

Is there any information on whether the medallions from the southern Scadrians can give allomancy or is it just feruchemy?

I assume you read BoM to make this question.

So you could see the Bands of Mourning itself could gift Allomancy. The Bands are "only" Medallion with almost all the knowed powers...nothing special. So yes the Medallion can give Allomancy too

I didn't even think of that. So it would be possible to have anyone be able to compound? Even without any access to the metallic arts prior?

In theory yes, but without an explic case I can't give it for sure

Medallion Compounding is the subject of at least 2 debates in the Mistborn Subforum. There's nothing that says it isn't possible so far, except our opinions that Brandon wouldn't/shouldn't make something that severely overpowered.
