One of the reasong is their house motto aligns well with my personal feeling, "Family, Duty, Honor" I guess Edward, but I really don't care Marvel Star Wars I really need to watch Battlestar Galactica, been meaning to, so I don't feel I have enough information to answer your question. 1

I will say Mccoys based solely on the sound of the name. Blackfyre Jets Rolling Stones (I'm not a huge fan, but really like the song Paint it Black) Romulans Separtists (the republic had many issues and it was only a matter of time before it fell apart).
