Punter
I think we've reached a point on that we have to decide whether or not we want to consider Elhokar a surgebinder or wielding an honorblade, with our new interlude suggesting that the two do not coexist (the Listener know-it-all seemed to divide them pretty clearly).Personally I believe that he's seeing spren as part of his paranoia, and I personally believe that as a result he's either a surgebinder and therefore not wielding an honorblade, or that someone (money's on Jasnah) is spying on him using spren and he has the capacity to see them (far less likely but we still can't say for sure what the full capacity of spren are) I think ultimately though, Occam's Razor, more evidence seems to be in favour of him being a surgebinder than him wielding an honorblade, I could be wrong so by all means prove me wrong .
Binnut he/him
While i do not think that Elhokar has a honorblade I still feel that your interpretation of the chapter differs from mine. 1. Venli says that the humans has a surgebinders (kaladin) 2. Eshonai says that it could be that could have been the effect of an honorblade. 3. Venli argues that it was not an honorblade she was struck with so its prabably a surgebinder. They discuss whenever Kaladin is a surgebinder or a honorblade user because those are the reasons for him having windrunner powers. Byt they do not say that one person cannot have both. They just argue about how bad it is and thus argues between the two. Thats my interpretation anyway.
Aminar
Moreover, there is no reason he can't have an honorblade and be a surgebinder that hasn't recieved a blessing/surges from the honorblade.
