Mason Wheeler
Has anyone asked Brandon this yet: During winter weather times on Roshar, do they get high-blizzards?

I don't think they have weather. They divide the seasons up by how much it rains/how frequent the highstorms are.
maxal she/her
They do mention winter a few times though... so they have... winters.

I don't think it snows much on Roshar, barring select places. I'd say this is rather unlikely. 3 hours ago, maxal said: They do mention winter a few times though... so they have... winters. DeTess she/her
It was mentioned in writing excuses 9.23 (transcript). Here's what Brandon said about it: Quote One of the things that the person brought up is that in the Stormlight Archives, we have a planet without axial tilt and seasons don't happen the way that we imagine them on our planet. To them, when the... A season happens is oh, it got cold for a little while. It's winter now for a few weeks. Then when it's not cold anymore, it is not winter and now we're calling it spring.

Yeah but do they get snow? I had wondered, now they are stuck high in the mountains if the weather might end up being different. Are they going to be cold? Is "winter uniform" warm enough for the cold mountain air? Though if seasons passes through the course of a week, I doubt they get massive snow storm but I'd love to read it happening. DarkJester
A high Blizzard?! Holy crap that would suck... No school for 3 months though... A high blizzard would be bad enough, but then there's the ever storm now... The implications are just too scary. I agree with what they are saying about the seasons, but still. If that did happen...
