The not kandra says "you will serve in another REALM"... could it be a fake death or could he be working on another plane? Kelsier has proved that death is not final according to SH and BOM. Part of me wants to have some people that you can hate over multiple books. So my theory is Suit "lived" and went on to another plane to continue the work of odium. The explosion at the end of BOM is his reward of service, rather than a murder for getting caught. 1
Yata he/him Posted November 30, 2016 Posted November 30, 2016 It may be both, the sentence may be read as "your death will serve us" because he can't no more spread sensible informations. or "your skill may be useful somewhere else" as actually exploit Suit for an actual purpose in other realms. My great doubt is that (as you saw in SH) Suit will be simply spawn in the Cognitive Realm and Harmony would intercept him....no "great escape" avaliable from the God who reign on Scadrial...

Unless the red-eyed immortals can hide things from Harmony in the the other realms the same way they were able to help Paalm hide in the Physical Realm... Harmony has some pretty big blind spots that we are only just starting to get an idea for, and with his massively expanded perspective, it may be really difficult for him to know about all the small details. I think he is aware of the explosion, but the specific details were mostly hidden from his sight (most likely), and while I don't think Suit will return in the Cognitive Realm like a certain thief did, I don't believe that we can count on Saze being aware of everything happening there, or yet being fully aware of that he is missing some things... 1
Yata he/him Posted November 30, 2016 Posted November 30, 2016 Well Paalm wasn't really hidden...She simply doesn't have a giant pointer to her who yells to Harmony "Hemalugy here"...She was hidden as not Hemalurgy User is hidden. We don't even know if she was "hidden" because the Spike's metal as the specific side effect of "stealth" or simply because it's of another god (to say maybe a Lerasium's Spike didn't allow Ruin to notice you as Hemalurgy's user). Anyway when Suit dies any magic system on him would stop to work...therefore he would be a regular recent deadman and we know that Harmony take as one of his most sacred duty to meet the people before they go to the Beyond. Of course there may be some crazy stuff there, but I find it unlikely

I dont find that likely. Since he was in the physical realm when he died, he shouldnt be able to, at the same time, be in the CR (correct me if I'm wrong here, my realmatics aren't the best). And ignoring that, if Suit knew how to just switch between realms, he would probably have done it a lot earlier. It is fully possible that he is doing something fun in CR as a deadman though.

Weltall Posted June 27, 2017 Posted June 27, 2017 If we assume that Suit really did have something more to contribute to Trell's long-term plans in the Cognitive/Spiritual Realms then something would have to be done to either intercept him before Harmony showed up or to hide his death. If we take the 'faceless immortal' at face value (har har) then it's likely that some behind the scenes arrangements were in place both to get Suit away from Harmony's influence and to provide him with the extra Investiture he'd need to resist the call of the Beyond. Otherwise his post-Physical death usefulness would be measured in minutes.
