So we understand that Hoid is presumed to be Lunu'anaki of the Horneater stories that Rock tells.  We know that Hoid uses what is presumed to be a Shardpool in the Horneater Peaks to worldhop, but whose Shardpool is it?

It's nowhere near The Valley where The Nightwatcher is (relationship to Cultivation), nor is it connected to Honor's presumed perpendicularity at the Origin.

Any ideas?

Why hallo again VT.

I'd guess it was one of those two you named really. Unless I'm mistaken we don't actually know where either shard put their shardpool and the only other shard, Odium, is on Braize so far as I know.

Does the Shardpool need to be connected to a shard? A Shardpool is basically a collection of liquid Investure. The pool in Sixth of Dusk is also like this, a pool of Investure not connected to a Shard.

Yeah, it could be Adonalsium's pool. Adonalsium did create the place, after all.

Are the Elantrian pool and Horneater lake connected?

BRANDON SANDERSON (PARAPHRASED)

They are the same thing.

Evidence that it's a Shardpool of residual Adonalsium investiture would be the pre-Honor/Cultivation/Odium spren on Roshar, so that's definitely a possibility.  I'm not sure the Drominad/First of the Sun example is considered a Shardpool, or at least it hasn't been confirmed as such by Brandon.  This magic system is, however, an example of naturally occurring investiture IIRC which is connected to Adonalsium.

I cite the above-mentioned WoB because it seems that the Shardpool we see on Sel, which is assumed to be of Devotion, is "the same thing" as what we see in the Horneater peaks.  I guess we're operating under the idea that a shard is limited to a single Shardpool, which may not be necessarily true.  Considering Preservation had three Physical Realm forms (Lerasium, Well of Ascention, and the Mists), as did Ruin (Atium, dark Shardpool, and the black smoke near the Well of Ascention), do we think each shard MUST have multiple Physical Realm forms?

Ruin and Preservation each had one solid, one liquid, and one gas form in the Physical Realm. Maybe the Origin (where some think Honor's Shardpool is) has his gas investiture, and the pool in the Horneater peaks had his liquid investiture.

Oh that's a good argument.

I would have thought his gas investiture is in the highstorms/is the highstorms, hence all the stormlight there and the similarity between Kaladin and Szeth fighting in the storm and Mistborn spoilers:

Spoiler

Vin fighting the inquisitors in the mist.

Also, doesn't this happen in the teaser chapter from oathbringer in Jasnahs POV?

Spoiler

Ivory talks about needing to find a Perpendicularity to get out of Shadesmar after Jasnah elsecalls from the Winds Pleasure, and waiting for a highstorm to pass. Doesn't this mean highstorms are Perpendicularities, like Shardpools, and Mistborn: SH spoiler

Spoiler

like the Pits of Hathsin (the invested area that generates solid form of a shard)

?

Yeah, it might be that his only gas investiture is the highstorms/stormlight. The origin might be something else then. Or perhaps since it creates the highstorms, that also counts as a form of Honor's gas investiture. I dunno, I'm sort of just spewing out random thoughts right now.

Your second point involving Oathbringer spoilers

Spoiler

I don't think that all highstorms are perpendicularities. Just like not every bead of atium is a perpendicularity. Maybe Jasnah could use it as a junction because it had so much investiture, but I don't believe that all junctions have to be perpendicularities. But let me know if there's evidence otherwise.
