iceblade44 he/him
This is something I've been wondering, in BoM we were possibly given a glimpse of what Kelsier is possibly up. One thing I noticed though that it was described the Sovereign had an eye like an inquisitor that is, an eye that has an Hermalurgic spike through it. So doe's that mean that Kelsier has regained his former Allomantic powers or at least his specialties of Pulling and Pushing as a cognitive shadow?
cometaryorbit
Allomancy is a Spiritual DNA/Preservation Investiture thing, so he should keep that even if he got a new body rather than regenerating his old one. (He couldn't use it as a Cognitive Shadow, but that's probably because he couldn't metabolize the metal or even really contact it Physically.) He apparently used Hemalurgy to come back to life, but I don't know if the spike just "staples" his soul/Shadow to his body or if it actually grants a power. It seems from the ending of BOM that he got Feruchemy somehow, though...
Kingsdaughter613 she/her
The eye spike doesn't grant any important abilities per WoB. The possibility of it doing something else is still open I believe. (I need to find it again.) The feruchemy is a mystery. The above poster is probably right about the allomancy. For now I think Kelsier give to himself a really critical power or the reason he spiked himself is tangential to the power gained but have more to do with an Hemalurgic side effect. goody153
I'd go for the hermalurgic spike in the eye acts like a way to tape or staple(whatever is the right analogy) to Kelsier's cognitive and spiritual self to some physical form and he just used physical gold to retain his old self(since it has scratches on the arms) which is practically how Kelsier pictured himself. Ironically, Brandon hinted that Kelsier would use Hemalurgy to return to life way back in 2012, in a "Kelsier vs Moiraine" thing he wrote for some SFF cage match article series... EDIT: My personal theory is that Kelsier's body is actually a Mistwraith, and the Spike puts his soul into the body, making him a pseudo-Kandra. He then used his own bones to turn back into himself. (I believe there's a WOB that they survived the Catacendre.) Edited September 28, 2016 by cometaryorbit mistwraith body
