In the extra scene at the end of the 10th anniversary edition of Elantris, the skaze calls Hoid Hoed, and when corrected,  continues to call him Hoed.

Now it's written to come off as simply a verbal/pronunciation difference, but Brandon is the type to sneak things in...is there something more to this designation as a Hoed? Perhaps Hoid partially succeeded, but somehow became Hoed instead of a full elantrian... I.E. an elantrian that is missing some aspects since he isn't actually from Sel?

Thoughts?

Hm. I've actually been wondering why a Skaze would be inclined toward Aonic pronunciation, given that they make there home in Fjorden. Your theory explains that as well as anything.

Other possibilities: the Skaze could have been mocking him. Or maybe it suggests a problem with the translator magic.

Maybe I am wrong but we have some information about the not casuality of the similiar word "Hoid and Hoed"

I for one would very much like to see that reference. It would mean al ot with my theory about Hoid's nature, and his origin as a cognitive being. Partly finished in transformation could mean many things, and if a Skaze could see that, it as a great bit of information.
