Dymphna Posted July 7, 2016 Posted July 7, 2016 When will White Sand become available on Audible? I don't even see a pre-order option for it at this point.
Windrunner he/him Posted July 7, 2016 Posted July 7, 2016 It's a graphic novel, so I don't think it's going to have an audiobook version. The images are so important to the medium that I don't think just hearing the written words read aloud would be enough to let you follow the story.
DataLoreHD Posted July 7, 2016 Posted July 7, 2016 There are quite a few DC & Marvel graphic novels adapted into audio books by GraphicAudio. Maybe you can expect GraphicAudio version in the future. But don't expect it to happen soon.
metaldragon Posted August 8, 2016 Posted August 8, 2016 Very disappointed in no audio version. Me and 3 other family members only listen to Brandons stories through audio format. Feels kinda crappy for the audiobook readers out there. I mean We even enjoyed the Rithmatis and you know how important imagery is to that story.
PallonianFire he/him Posted August 8, 2016 Posted August 8, 2016 Yeah, Brandon has said no audio. BUT: He plans to include the beginning of the prose version in Arcanum Unbounded this fall, and that will have an audio version. So, at least that's something.
Angsos Posted December 6, 2016 Posted December 6, 2016 Please remember though, images aren't everything. I, for instance am legally-blind so most visual images make absolutely no impression on me. I can however see mental images very well based on words.
Spoolofwhool Posted December 7, 2016 Posted December 7, 2016 In the Arcanum Unbounded there is a part of the White Sand Volume 1, along with a written form of that, and the written form reads well enough, so I don't think they're going to have a problem with eventually doing an audiobook version. However, they're probably going to wait until the whole book is completely released before they do.
