Paladin Brewer he/him
As the title says, curious question. It is clear Hoid is able to go into Shadesmar and use the shard pools to Worldhop. He was using the Pits of Hathsin to Worldhop. If this is so, why was he unable to find the Well while he was in Shadesmar? Does he have to know a general location first? Bowiespoon he/him
Little is known about the process of worldhopping, unfortunately, so I cannot answer your question.
Eki
I believe this was kind of... retconned a few months back, so that Hoid DID know where the Well was, but had other things to deal with in the north. It should be Brandon's last post on these forums. Here you go: http://www.17thshard.com/forum/topic/52594-mistborn-secret-history-continuity-notes/ I guess it technically contains spoilers for M:SH, but I haven't read that yet so I wouldn't know Edited April 18, 2016 by Eki
Voidus
Yeah, to answer this requires SH spoilers.
Shardbearer he/him
In the original version, before it was retconned, he used the Pits. But when Brandon was writing Secret History he realized that the Pits were destroyed by Kelsier, so he couldn't have used them for his Worldhopping. So after the retcon, Hoid was never actually looking for the Well, since that's how he got to Scadrial.
