As we know Koloss are still around in the AoL era.

Sazed changed them to be a true breeding race.

But i always thought all koloss are male. Did sazed give half of them a sex-change?

What is the difference between a normal scadrian receiving spikes and a koloss child acepting them?

We know from the AoL prologe that humans an koloss are still fighting each other (it's mentioned that they destroyed the city bloody tan is hiding in) do koloss know how to use hemalurgy? Do they create more spikes?

And since Brandon likes to think about religions, do they worship harmony?

I'd love to read more about modern koloss, but they don't really appear again.

Is there somone else who still cares about them?

All Koloss were sexless (I think - to me it seemed that the characters assumed they were all male due to a lack of breasts).  I presume Harmony just gave them the sex organs of their gender or sex before they were turned into a Koloss.

Yeah...It's hard to be a "true-breeding" species without sexual organs...unless they have some sort of really off the wall method of reproduction.  But the simple fact that some people are "koloss blooded" meaning that they have some koloss heritage means that koloss are capable of interbreeding with ordinary humans.  This would be difficult to achieve without normal male/female genitals.

According to the Coppermind, koloss will give birth to a "koloss-blooded" child, who can then choose at their coming of age whether or not to accept koloss spikes or not; as such they almost certainly have functional sexual organs, but who knows...

I imagine that the total number of koloss remains fixed as well (otherwise they would presumably have overrun the human population at some point); they probably lack the intelligence to make more spikes in general.

This being said, I'm surprised we haven't seen more of the Koloss in Era 2, considering they should still be a fairly significant threat even with the introduction of firearms.

It's mostly because we haven't left Elendel proper for so long (until BoM anyway). There's the odd mention of invasions by koloss warlords all the time in the books, presumably it happens once in a while. I guess they live out in the Roughs for the most part. The koloss-blooded aside, true koloss do not need much dedicated sustenance.

If you look at my favorite reference the Mistborn Adventure game(anything in it is canon until Brandon contradicts it) They have a break down of basic Kolass culture. Kolass-blooded are the result of two Full kolass or kolass-blooded breeding, and they breed true if they pair with human's too(Example: Tarson from Alloy of Law). Full Kolass are still really aggressive, but Harmony made them much less so than the first era and more rational. They don't know how or are forbidden from making new spikes(I can't remember which if not both) and there's obviously a large social stigma against them in human society.
