Voidus Posted April 13, 2016 Posted April 13, 2016 It mentions that people turned to cubes don't even notice what happen to them, so resurrection suicide and likely healing wouldn't work. ...why do people keep thinking that giving someone the ability to seal anyone within a pocket dimension by tackling them is a downgrade? "Backtrack, come with me if you want to life!" "Does that mean you'll kill me otherwise?" Well whether or not healing works depends on the healer more than anything, Bioterrors certainly would. As for the pocket dimension that only really works if you plan on never using that dimension again, since if you do they can just jump out, plus the predicate is damage not just anything that touches him so just tackling someone wouldn't work.
The Swan Dragon he/him Posted April 13, 2016 Posted April 13, 2016 (edited) Lagomorphizing boots! That is now my favorite word. Mr. ((>.')) Elodin, muchas gracias. ((Sorry, I'm just in a phreakin' awesome mood right now)) Edited April 13, 2016 by Weirdpersonx
breakingamber he/him Posted April 13, 2016 Posted April 13, 2016 Not actually going to use him - as you said, too OP - but he would be pretty cool. Also, we recently found out that facing your fear is a temporary solution to the "corruption." Where does that leave Substance (Salem)? Third thing is that not all weaknesses nullify powers. A person that isn't afraid of him does not nullify all of Steelheart's powers (or else he would always have his weakness in play - he is not afraid of himself) That leaves us with, "He can only be killed by someone who doesn't fear him. How do you nullify his flight, energy blasts, and other powers he might have?

breakingamber he/him Posted April 13, 2016 Posted April 13, 2016 And revised: Cuber Power: Can turn objects and vanillas into cubes the size of a lightbulb (I like lightbulbs!) Cannot be done to Epics unless their weakness is in effect. Most objects can be cubed, as long as he considers it an object. Secondary: He can create a pocket dimension that can hold a very large amount of cubes, about 200. Tertiary: Anything that will hurt him will enter the pocket dimension. Objects that hit him will be cubed, while vanillas and Epics will not. Weakness: Something easy to exploit but hard to guess.
18th Shard he/him Posted April 13, 2016 Posted April 13, 2016 Jumpdrive post going up, in which he supports emotionally-charged plagiarism. It may be a little early to end the day for him, but he should be wrapped up the rest of the day.
Fatebreaker he/him Posted April 13, 2016 Posted April 13, 2016 Isn't he flying at the moment? Then again she could just make killer penguins with lasers on their head who also have jetpack. Scribbler doesn't let nature tell her what is and isn't allowed to fly. H-how..... how did they discover his weakness?..... 1
Voidus Posted April 13, 2016 Posted April 13, 2016 H-how..... how did they discover his weakness?..... The ways of Lord Dupin are not for mere mortals to understand.
Edgedancer he/him Posted April 13, 2016 Posted April 13, 2016 (edited) The ways of Lord Dupin are not for mere mortals to understand. Lord Dupin is the child of Cthulhu, his ways need not be explained. So what are we going to do about that Kansas thing? Edited April 13, 2016 by Edgedancer 1

TwiLyghtSansSparkles she/her Posted April 13, 2016 Author Posted April 13, 2016 I'm going to leave my post up for a little while and then either hide the thread or let Voidus do it. Depends on who wants to use their mod powers more.

Depends on who wants to use their mod powers more. I'm going to try to avoid using mod powers while under the influence of opiates. Otherwise I'd do something like rename all the threads into the scientific names for various moth species or something. 3
breakingamber he/him Posted April 13, 2016 Posted April 13, 2016 Ultimate *facepalm* If you became corrupted, you'd delete all our profiles! And where does your first quote come from?

breakingamber he/him Posted April 13, 2016 Posted April 13, 2016 Flight...idk. Energy blasts probably don't hurt you if you don't fear him. What if he threw a rock at you with his enhanced strength? It would probably hurt you, even if you didn't fear him. Energy probably works on the same basis.
Voidus Posted April 13, 2016 Posted April 13, 2016 Ultimate *facepalm* If you became corrupted, you'd delete all our profiles! And where does your first quote come from? But then who would I RP with? No I'd delete the profiles of everyone who refused to participate in RPs A certain reptilian monarch who shall remain nameless but should be fairly easy to deduce.
Edgedancer he/him Posted April 13, 2016 Posted April 13, 2016 You say that like it would be a bad thing. What happened in pine processionary doesn't sound all that bad.

I didn't read any Brandon Sanderson books other than Steelheart and Firefight - AND THEY WERE AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!!! Anyway, who is the lizard? I better start being even more active in the RP...
Mckeedee123 he/him Posted April 13, 2016 Posted April 13, 2016 (edited) Not actually going to use him - as you said, too OP - but he would be pretty cool. No? Because I actually like it. I'm picturing him as a gambler-type figure. He throws his cubes out randomly, like dice, just to see what happens. I'd like to use him in Freq's gang, if you don't mind. Maybe rename him "Lottery" or something. It would give me a chance to pick the bandit thread back up, since Shattered hasn't responded in a while (he was up next.) EDIT: Kobolds are generally depicted as lizard-goblin things, if that helps. Edited April 13, 2016 by Mckeedee123 1

Eh, I don't think the Dalles is laid out for another High Epic to join the frey. (or really much Epics being thrown into the gang anyway, given there aren't supposed to be any new Epics anyway, last time I checked.)

(or really much Epics being thrown into the gang anyway, given there aren't supposed to be any new Epics anyway, last time I checked.) Well, I was planning to use the version of the powerset that I mentioned, so no extradimensional powers whatsoever, no PI, and no transformation of animals, humans, or Epics, just the ability to turn objects less than 200 kg into dice size cubes, then turning them back by rolling them along the ground. Freq's gang is recruiting at the moment, so it isn't really a stretch. There were a handful of other characters we were planning on bringing in anyway.

How about this? Can I keep the animals thing? What if a savage tiger is upon him? He has nothing to do but run! Lottery Power: Can turn objects (no humans or Epics) into ordinary dice. Has to be lighter than 200 kilograms Extremely Annoying power: If he challenges you to a game of dice, you have to accept. If he wins, you are completely under his control for the rest of the day. If you win, you're scot-free, and he cannot ask you to join another game. Honorwise, he will also not kill you. He doesn't rig the games. His victim gets to choose the game. MO: He enjoys challenging random vanillas to games of dice. He has accumulated quite the entourage of losers. Edited April 13, 2016 by breakingamber
