Bryce Carmony he/him
That's how I imagine it at least when I read it. I just imagine that it it absorbs 100% of light
KaIadin he/him
Just pointing out something guys, you can't really see it properly on a screen. Also, Vantablack™
IndigoAjah he/him
Kind of fits with the way it drains Investiture and stores so much, too...
Bryce Carmony he/him
I like Nightblade's look in the fact that it is just a straight long sword. I don't really like the sound of most shard blades how they are so ornate and curvy and wavy and showy they give off a certain Anime vibe for me. Bryce Carmony he/him
Eh. Isn't Vantablack cloth-like? It's made of carbon nanotubes. so one layer of it would be clothlike. you could make a think swordy chunk of it and maybe it'd be hard.
Observer
Shardblades are, or at least were, living creatures. Their shape and form is based on their personality and the way they want to be seen. It helps that without weight or balancing they can basically be what they want to be without issue. Nightblood though? Nightblood is a tool. A weapon first and foremost designed to ruin evil's day. The simplicity and straightforwardness is, in its own way, an expression of Nightblood's personality. /reason I shouldn't post late

Jondesu he/him
Nightblood is a tool. And this is why I should read slower, since that didn't come across initially the way you meant it. :-P I agree, Vantablack is a great image to have in mind for Nightblood. It's almost sucking in all the light around it. jW
