Yes! Non-American spelling is the way! Join us! We have...

Storms, that line's been taken already.

Oh that reminds me, people keep saying 'Don't take the cookie' which should obviously be spelled: 'Take the cookie!'

No plans to alter British spelling to American spellings. It is canonical for the Brits after all, and they have cool accents.

It depends if you use American or British English. Americans write aluminum, Brits write aluminium.

Yes but it's not between duraluminum and duraluminium, it's between duralumin and duraluminum.

Duralumin is correct.  The alloy was originally developed on our world by a German zeppelin company for use in building airships.

Wow.  That is one of the kindest ways of saying, "Kaymyth, why are you full of such ridiculous amounts of useless information?!" that I've ever seen.  :D

Nah, I've only got the one spike, and it's for Feruchemical maturity.

It could be a spiked spike.

I doubt it. :P. I've always collected weird knowledge like this, ever since I was a kid. And that predates the Mistborn books by a lot.

In that case, I got nothin'. Except an interesting fact that you may not know.

Likewise, though around half of my interesting facts are in fact false, even a few that I got from the readers digest book of facts. :(

Slightly on topic: I use British spelling generally but I say Duralumin, I don't think it's really a british/american thing.

If we're still taking requests, one of my biggest pet peeves on this site are when people miss spell Iyatil. They read the name as starting with a lowercase "L", but then type it as Lyatil. It's a name! That's a capital "i"! Drives me nuts.

On a related note: Is there any way to change the shortcut for B) to something other than b + )? Makes lists really annoying.

That's a good point. I know I can, but let's delay that a bit and remind me until post upgrade.

Good idea.

*puts hand up guiltily*

I've made this mistake...  :(. Makes me wonder what else I've been spelling wrong.

I seem to recall the partner of Demoux (can't recall her name at the moment)/ worldhopper being spelled incorrectly a lot.
