Stormgate he/him
I got a WoB(!) from Twitter, and I'm not sure what it means, exactly.
blad3mast3r he/him
Like, the pattern of dividing things into 16. adonalsium->16 shards preservation->16 types of magic (metals) so each metal is 1/256th of Adonalsium, sort of. Unodus he/him
So... Would it be possible to map out the pattern of the 16 shards (with adonalsium at the center) using the technique shallan used to map out the shattered plains? Just a thought x.x Edited February 20, 2016 by Unodus
Stormgate he/him
My idea was to have each of the Shards correspond to a metal. Honor was pewter, Ruin was either Bendalloy or Electrum...
Oversleep
Haven't we tried this already? I'll try to find the topic...
Stormgate he/him
That has been a discussed theory, but this was an attempt to get a confirmation of the theory. I apparently need to word my question(s) better.
Uilos he/him
It would make sense for Preservation to preserve that pattern.
Ari he/him
That sounds like it's possibly an implication of a "yes, but you have things the wrong way around."
Sam Script he/him
That sounds like it's possibly an implication of a "yes, but you have things the wrong way around." Agree with Ari. Brandon's reply seems like that it's not a coincidence but not directly related, either. Besides Brandon had mentioned that the most investiture are based on establishED law of that Shardworld, Shards just made them more systemic. I don't really think that metals could totally pair with Shards. Maybe Preservation expanded some kinds of Metal and made the Allomantic System completed, yeah good, but system itself is still unable to fully paired with all Shards. Conclusion. If we or Preservation do intend to explain which kind of metal refers to one Shard, it'll need a lot of artificial and deliberate explanations.
