Can a Drab travel in the Cognitive Realm?

Breath is a unique form of investiture in that is, at least some what, intertwined with the spiritual realm. Each person born on Nalthis has their own small well of investiture. Endowment can also use Breath to bring a soul back from "The Beyond" with a Divine Breath. Because of the nature of this form of investiture people can choose to relinquish their well, and either give it to another, or invest it into an object. However, when they do this they undergo a very clear transformation. The most notable changes is the how their skin, hair, and even the clothing they wear seem to lose color, and they become undetectable to people with Perfect Life Sense (The 4th Heightening). Drabs also seem to be more susceptible to some illnesses.

So it made me wonder, in a world where EVERYONE has some investiture, and losing it makes you less, does relinquishing ones stock cut them off from entering The Cognitive Realm? Do we know of any Drab world hoppers?

I would imagine it's extremely perilous to travel the Cognitive Realm, at least in any place rich with ideas, without any investiture.

That said, I imagine you could technically worldhop while being a drab yourself (at least most of the time) so long as you have invested objects you can draw power from as needed.

I don't think you need investiture to worldhop, per se. I don't think it takes any stormlight for an elsecaller, lightweaver, or willshaper to enter shadesmar. Maybe investiture helps you influence the cognitive realm. You might be quite vulnerable without investiture when you entered, which indeed might render a trip dangerous.

But I mean a drab still absolutely retains their cognitive self. While there are many superstitions about losing breath like losing your soul, it really only is just a bit of investiture you innately own. It might be useful to have investiture for a variety of reasons (and lacking this bit of investiture weakens the life force and senses of the subject), but it shouldn't render it fundamentally impossible to enter the cognitive realm.

Speaking of entering the cognitive realm, has anybody ever discussed what entering the spiritual realm could be like?

IIRC he looked into the Spiritual Realm, he didn't actually physically go there.

Although what Elend did might be the closest any living human person can get to entering the Spiritual Realm.

We know that it's mostly independent of Physical space and time, going there would really mess someone up, unless they're an actual shard.

Jasnah talks about how dangerous Shadesmar is without investiture with Shallan. I doubt her fears are unfounded- it's possible the dangers are specific to Shadesmar and that places with less manifest Investiture thrown around like Scadrial are more benign. (In fact, to some degree, I expect that to be the case)

I suspect you need Investiture to reach a Perpendicularity safely. I don't expect you need it (or at least not much of it) to travel the Expanse between cognitive reflections of worlds.
