Well the Jägers and Shiny kind of have extended family vaguely laid out, so It's good to know that I could bring this joy to somebody else.

On the redeemed Epics bit... well full redemption seems to require actively standing up to Calamity, so that's out but the partial bit works just fine. Okay consequences for my Epics: Voidgaze still needs to go on a diet. Jack... is pretty much fine the way he is, although those strip shows would help. It might be best if I tweek Lucentia's weakness a bit. Tecnically it would still work but I wasn't all that fond of it anyway, so I might as use staying on the side of caution as an excuse. Oh don't you worry. The response is very appreciated. Why must an Epic stand up to Calamity personally? Conflux never did that. I think it's just the redemption story for Flashpoint/Edgerunner that might need to be tweaked for me.[/spoiler Spoiler for 45%: Well. It appears that one of my pet peeve proposed weaknesses—being afraid of your own powers—is actually….canon. I actually thought it was going to end up as a fear of himself, of the darkness inside him, that was his actual weakness. I have finished Calamity and may now rejoin the world of the living! But really, Obliteration, I expected better of you. Of Obliteration? Really? I actually quite liked that one. I mean, we already know that he was a slontze in Firefight's world too. Of course he'd be one here. We're going to have to be careful with redeemed Epics not to overdo it, obviously we all want some of our nicer Epics to be redeemed but if too many do it, particularly in deliberate fashion it somewhat breaks canon. It'd need to be things like what happened to Edmund and Obliteration, random accidents that the Epics don't really notice or understand. I still want to know Obliteration's weakness. What the storms did he do to overcome it? He doesn't seem like the kind of guy to save someone for anything. Unless it happened before he went full Armageddon's Angel-mode. Okay, so now I just need to figure out the city I'll be in... Thanks everyone for all the feedback you gave me so I could make this character awesome! P.S. My brother brought up that there are a lot of dropped epics that nobody uses anymore in cities. Would it be possible to take those, and have my guy fight against them, if they have been dropped? I'm guessing I'd have to contact the owners of the epics, but it would be a chance to practice with my char and to give some closure to the dropped guys. Not all of them, but hopefully some of them. I'm fine with it if there are any of mine you want. There's some in Portland, but you'd have to get permission to join the city first. Loved the book as a whole, but I prefer our interpretation of his character than the canon one. Of Obliteration? I really like him. A lot. I just want to know his backstory now. I told breakingamber to clear adopting Travis and Kathy with Mailliw first, as well as the edited post. Once they've read my PM and saved what they wrote, I'll hide the post to give Mailliw time to respond. I gave them permission, as long as they first read all of her posts and make sure they know the character.

So, I'm not sure how plausible it is that Kathy met up with Travis and tried to escape, especially factoring in the large amounts of corruption that heavy use of her powers during the fight would have introduced. Ah, well, it's up to Fatebreaker(who writes Dodgeball, correct?) what happens then.

Comatose he/him Posted February 19, 2016 Posted February 19, 2016 So, I stopped reading when the Calamity spoilers started, just in case something accidental slipped (my copy is in the mail ), but I am super excited to catch up on all the observations. I'll reply to what I've seen so far, and will chime in later with my Calamity thoughts when I get to it. I'm waiting for more than 2 people to post before I post again. But no one's posting in Corvallis. I'm waiting with you. Got stuck waiting on others... Is anyone waiting on my characters specifically? I know I haven't been posting, but I was under the impression that no one was waiting on me at this point. Let me know if you need specific posts from me! yeah he is pretty awesome I'm pretty much waiting for more reactions to his series of proxy-attacks. Unless i missed something, Blaze hasn't posted any reactions to them from Buttercup's perspective or anything yet.And even after that, he is pretty much done for the day- he wants to gradually escalate his mayhem. He is working out the best way to do so with his new ally Slaughterine. (think that was her name aha).haha don't worry, you didn't sound mean. We have already pointed that out though, and while the profile hasn't been updated, shatter shot just turns normal bullets the glass after firing them. There's a post mentioning Slaughterine? I'm so excited you decided to go that route, haha. *Goes over to read Corvallis and hopes Calamity is not spoiled there.
Patar he/him Posted February 19, 2016 Posted February 19, 2016 (edited) So I've been trying to find time to put my epics Peacegiver and Night Terror into Corvallis for a while now. I believe I've got their powers nailed down, and I've informed Comatose of what their weaknesses are. Unfortunately, I have no clear time frame of when I will begin writing with them. I had planned to have them in Corvallis already, but I've had some issues that have been outside of my control keeping me busy. I DO still plan on joining the craziness in the Reckoners RP, but I just don't know when (or if) I'll have the time. Just thought I'd give a little update on where I'm at.
