It was a part of the WoB I posted earlier in the thread ZAS678 How do Kandra decide gender? Is it just intellectual? Or are there subtle physical differences? BRANDON SANDERSON Kandra have a specific gender that is associated with scent- you can tell if a kandra is a boy or girl depending on how they smell. There is more to it than that. They also know who they are attracted to.

Why should they be? Actually, if you read the actual quote given by Brandon in the post above, you'll see that he asylum days that they are attracted to each other. That's one of the ways you tell what sex a kandra is, apparently.

Why should they be? It says it right in the quote. "They also know who they are attracted to." It's the very last sentence. I considered bringing that up, but it doesn't quite answer the question of whether kandra would pursue romantic entanglements with each other, though. If they are attracted to different Kandra, I think its safe to say that they would act in a similar way to the way Paalm acted when she was attracted to Wax, which seems to be similar to how poeple act when they are attracted to someone. If Kandra are willing to pursue romantic entanglements with people (though I realize that Bleeder is not exactly an average Kandra), I don't see why they wouldn't pursue them with each other. MeLaan had, maybe still has, a crush on TenSoon. If Kandra can feel attraction in a similar way to people, then it seems logical that Kandra would try to act on that attraction, even if it only happened rarely.
