I know this has been discussed before, but I'm having trouble finding the exact thread/s. So if you happen to know them, feel free to send me there! I just wanted to say that it sure seems like Tien was a future Lightweaver in process. There's lots of things to point us to that, I know, but this is my favorite one that I haven't seen brought up (but it may have been): "'See,' Tien said from behind, "from this side it's green. I don't think it's a spren, Mother. It's the light. It makes the rock change....." Doesn't that sound like a future Lightweaver point of view, y'all? Or of course this could have just been an overarching Stormlight Archive theme getting brought up. Honor was He Who Transforms after all. I know I'm reaching on this one. Either way, I really love this line.

Two other quotes to keep in mind, both in reference to Beck: Both are in chapter 1. Now, this next quote doesn't mean that he shared the draught with Beck right when he got it, I guess it could have held on to a bottle of it or something and given it to him later, but it does mean that he at least found that drink prior to being 50- and if he did give it to Beck right when he found it- then that would mean of course that he knew Beck pre 50.

In terms of the 2 striding the storm - I had always just assumed it was a couple of parshendi in stormform or transforming into stormform, rather. Maybe they do that in pairs often as well ?

worldhoppers: have we seen a version of shai in any books other than emperor's soul? have we seen a version of shallan in any books other than stormlight archive? and I mean, just to be greedy and reaching: have we seen vivienne in any books other than warbreaker?

Random questions from today's rereading: "when people crowded about like this, spren were rare, even though the emotions seemed to be very high." Anybody know why? Just too many emotions to choose from? This really struck me for some reason. Something else that struck me today: "Mmmm, Pattern said. He sounded drowsy, though she didn't know if spren could get tired." this reminded me of Elantris and "Seons could contact others of their kind, and they apparently didn't need half as much sleep as men. What did the Seons do, while their masters slept?" Anybody had any theories on this aspect before? just for fun- what do you think the spren do while the proto-Radiants are sleeping? I just imagine Pattern out hitting all the bars listening for jokes

A bit far fetched here and I'm probably reading too much into it.. also, not sure how to mark a spoiler here yet so beware below if you haven't read WOR: do you think that perhaps wit didn't meet shallan until she hugged him in the war camps? he just seemed so off guard then, and when he first saw her as a child he was surprised to see her. think there's any chance that is because he had met her in her future for the first time and was surprised to see her there as a child? maybe that's how he knew to evoke lightweaving out of her in particular. again, I know this is far fetched. just a thought.
