Delightful Posted April 3, 2014 Posted April 3, 2014 You know, one thing that bothered me about official rendition of the Pattern is that his face was supposed to have bizarre angles, arrowhead patterns and alien geometries... And I see precious few angles XD Stupid thing to worry about, i know. I am pretty sure that in Shadesmar his face is 3d (like a sphere with 2d center as an eye? maybe?) I thought the same thing. Described as angles but only represented as curved lines.
Kobold King he/him Posted April 3, 2014 Posted April 3, 2014 I thought the same thing. Described as angles but only represented as curved lines. To be fair, attempting to draw exactly what the book described without Shallan's Memory would likely push the artist to a psychological breakdown. But I see your point.
Delightful Posted April 5, 2014 Posted April 5, 2014 To be fair, attempting to draw exactly what the book described without Shallan's Memory would likely push the artist to a psychological breakdown. But I see your point. Especially since Shallan herself couldn't get it right.
Argent he/him Posted April 7, 2014 Posted April 7, 2014 Bah, all I hear is excuses! Shallan doesn't have access to Photoshop - (nearly) infinite fractals are practically trivial with modern technology, stop being lazy, you artists you 1
Grimm he/him Posted May 6, 2014 Posted May 6, 2014 I'd love to see a family portrait of kaladin when he was young, with his brother and parents, or maybe something with all the kholins in a single place. Your work is great by the way. Oh my storm, a family portrait would be beautiful. I would definitely print it and frame, I'm not even joking! Would break my heart but be so awesome too.
Shaggai Posted May 12, 2014 Posted May 12, 2014 For some reason Bridge 4 (or at least Kaladin) look just a tad too happy, but Pattern is amazing and Jasnah's expression are absolutely perfect.
