The fudged glyph was read as "death" but the scribe said it almost looked like "broken"

In one of the death quotes wasn't Odium called "the broken one"

Odium comes?

I also thought it was interesting that Syl basically confirmed that predicting the future was a feature of Odium/voidbinding. We know the ardents believe this, but since their data is so mesed up I didn't trust it at all. However, if it's true....well, that is interesting.

I personally think Odium introduced this tenet into voirinism to hinder those who side with Honor. Yes, I think Odium corrupted the ardentry, and changed alot of the teachings.

I can certainly get behind Odium corrupting the religion.

But why would Syl think seeing the future was an element of voidbinding?

She just said it wasn't of Honor, that still leaves Cultivation.

Maybe as a follower / disciple of Honour you are expected to embrace fate / the divine plan.  Seeking information or influence outside that constraint is taboo.  Or to quote Garth:

"Don't do it yourself man, you'll never afford it. Live in the now"

The voice in Dalinar's vision says: "To speak of what might be is forbidden."

The first, shared Radiant ideal is also about not letting the future control the present.

I'm sure Vorinism misinterpreted it somehow, but I think there must be something to it also.

Nobody wants this, but I think it is equally possible that Odium is responsible for Dalinar's visions. Wouldn't it make a little sense if Darkness thinks Surgebinding will cause a Desolation and Dalinar is trying to gather Surgebinders? It could be that seeing the future actually is a sign of Odium, and Dalinar has seen a representation of the future in the 'Honor' visions... I really hope it is the simple explanation that I enjoy, and not that one, but I think it is possible.

Doesn't say who it is forbidden to. It doesn't mean this ability is of odium - maybe shards aren't supposed to tell what they see. that is all.

Many believe the assassin in white is coming, seeing as he has been killing kings and high princes, will more than dalinar be at risk? That is one way to unite the country, be the last ones standing, the heirs might be more open to working together, than their fathers.

Based on the scene with taravangian, Dalinar is the only person at the shattered plains who is currently on his hit list. Taravangian doesn't want them to unite under someone other than himself so he'd prefer to leave the other high princes alive to squabble amongst themselves once Dalinar is eliminated.

Funny thing is, I don't think the Alethi will ever unite under anyone. I believe that if Szeth should manage to kill Dalinar, the Alethekar nation would fall apart, and/or allow Sadeas to shatter it. The new excerpt from WoR seems to indicate that even if a Highprince were to trust Dalinar, he STILL won't  trust ANY other  Highprince not to try to take advantage of him. Not more than 1 Highprince gives a Damnation about Alethekar with Gavilar gone.

I think Alethekar will  BURN and serve as the stick to.get the rest of the Roshar to unite, possibly  under Taravengian.

And wouldn't that be ironic under Honor.
