startreklord06 Posted December 8, 2015 Posted December 8, 2015 I have a theory that Tindwyl is a worldhopper. In Well of Ascension Elend describes the patch on his uniform as having a design with an arrow or a spear. This sounds like it could be describing the symbol of Bridge Four.
iBambam Posted December 8, 2015 Posted December 8, 2015 Yeah, WoK happens between era 1 and 2 of mistborn, sorry to burst your bubble 1
king of nowhere Posted December 8, 2015 Posted December 8, 2015 I'm fairly sure Bridge 4 didn't even exist yet. this. plus, the spear is the symbol of the survivorism, which makes more sense in-universe 1
startreklord06 Posted December 10, 2015 Author Posted December 10, 2015 How do you explain Demoux's appearance in WoK?
FormlessFox he/him Posted December 10, 2015 Posted December 10, 2015 How do you explain Demoux's appearance in WoK? We only know that he is with a character from the cosmere book Elantris looking for Hoid. So we know Demoux worldhops but WoK takes place after Mistborn so Tindwyl can't wear the patch of a bridge crew that did not exist yet. 1
natc Posted December 11, 2015 Posted December 11, 2015 How do you explain Demoux's appearance in WoK? As the above sharder explains, something reappearing in the future is much, much more possible than something appearing before it actually existed. The former is literally how all created existence works in real life. Things continue to exist in some form as time flows. That's basic fact. All Demoux needs is an anti-aging measure, which seems simple enough in the cosmere. The latter is an irreconcilable time paradox that can in no way happen without time travel, at which point you're just grasping at straws to make it connect. 1
