FireSlayer she/her Posted November 5, 2015 Posted November 5, 2015 So it's looking likely that some writing friends of mine here at college and I will get to drive down to Charleston on the 14th--mainly for the panels, but I'm definitely trying for Brandon's autograph. Out of curiosity, any other Sharders headed that way?
Gjoseph Posted November 18, 2015 Posted November 18, 2015 I went to YALLFest. I've been a lurker on this site until now. I asked two questions via post-its on my books: Q: Does Hoid hide from Odium simply by laying low and not drawing attention? Or, is there some power involved? A. Power. Q. If a Voidbringer unsheathed Nightblood, would they be able to use it without being drained of Stormlight? A. Not really. - I messed this question up. I was asking because in the Prologue for WoK, Szeth had said that in mythology Voidbringers could hold Stormlight perfectly, without leaking, and I can't help but think that at some point our heroes are going to face an enemy (perhaps an Unmade) who has gained possession of Nightblood and can use it without limits. Just a prediction. However, Brandon's response to my questions was that (and I should have remembered this) Voidbringers don't necessarily have Stormlight, they have their own form of it. Should have said Investiture. 4

You might find this interesting but in the past Brandon has been asked about the Voidbringers holding Stormlight perfectly and he said that Szeth was wrong.
