Starwatcher Posted November 2, 2015 Posted November 2, 2015 As per the instructions, I will first say this: I exist. ย Beyond that, it's good to be where reading books over 1,000 pages is not confronted with the question: "Why?" ย I've been reading around here for the past two months or so and finally decided to join. ย As for Brandon's books: I stumbled on Mistborn: The Final Empire back in the middle of June and loved it. I read through the rest of Mistborn, and then, out of curiosity, Googled "Adonalsium" because of that epigraph in Hero of Ages, thinking I could get a quick answer and be done. Instead, I found out that several of Brandon's works were interconnected and that there were more books for me to read. At this point, I've read Mistborn, Stormlight Archive, Elantris, and Warbreaker through the most currently released book. Right now, I have Steelheart next to me, Rithmatist a few paces away, and The Eye of the World up in my room, all to be read. ย I'm rather excited to be here and delve into the cosmere. 2
Elbereth she/her Posted November 2, 2015 Posted November 2, 2015 Hi! You do exist! What are you reading right now?
Starwatcher Posted November 2, 2015 Author Posted November 2, 2015 Thanks. Right now it's Steelheart. I just got it this afternoon. Pretty good so far. And for the record, it isย not cosmere. 1
WayneSpren he/him Posted November 3, 2015 Posted November 3, 2015 Welcome to the Shard! Would you like a cookie?
+Slowswift Posted November 3, 2015 Posted November 3, 2015 Thanks. Right now it's Steelheart. I just got it this afternoon. Pretty good so far. And for the record, it is not cosmere. You just made a lot of people very, very happy.
Starwatcher Posted November 3, 2015 Author Posted November 3, 2015 Welcome to the Shard! Would you like a cookie? NO! I've already learned about what your "cookies" actually are. On second thought though... I would like several "cookies" so as to give me every possible ability currently known to the cosmere. What I will do with that power is none of your concern. ย You just made a lot of people very, very happy. Good. Making people happy is a good thing to do. 1
