I'm not as well versed as many people when it comes to the Cosmere. I have a more basic understand that makes it enjoyable, but not to the scope as you all probably. That said, I know that there will be a sci-fi Mistborn series. Well, there would be space travel too, right? I know this would be ridiculous and I'm 99.9% sure this won't happen (or I could be wrong), but what is to stop them from traveling to the other Cosmere planets like Roshar? Has Brandon said anything about this?

Have you read Sixth of the Dusk from the Shadows Beneath anthology?

I've never read any of the novellas, and I'm not even sure how to get them. I'm not a fan of e-books though... I prefer them physical.

Brandon once said that Shardplate would protect from the vacuum of space but it will be a long time before we see it. :)

It was on Reddit somewhere, can't find the exact quote at the moment.

If I remember right the sci-fi Mistborn series is planned to be the Cosmere final, so while that is no confirmation I'd wager that the chances of other Cosmere stuff in it is pretty high.

I'm fairly certain the Mistborn final trilogy will involve traveling to Roshar, among other places. For what it's worth we're already aware of Scadrians who have made it to Roshar using some magical means of travel.

Here you go.

Did not see anything in that quote that said Shardplate can survive the vacuum of space... nothing mentioned/confirmed by Mr. Sanderson, at least...

My concern is, Shardplate has a slit for the eyes. I guess if you cover that slit with like, plexiglass or something?

WoR Spoilers

Or maybe living Shardplate can mold the way living Shardblades can?

Quite right, my apologies for not double-checking the contents of the WoB. That's almost certainly the WoB that Tellingdwar was referring to, though.

P.S. I used my godlike mod powers to hide the WoR spoiler.

Sorry, I just realized what thread this was in and came back to throw up the spoiler tags; I was responding to someone talking about Shardplate and forgot that we weren't in Cosmere Theories. Thank you for the catch!

I feel like they may only acknowledge one of the planets e.g "The ship passed by a large planet, which seemed to have only one, large continent. What looked like a massive storm rolled over it.

Also referencing Sixth of Dusk...it's mentioned that the visitors from above are not the only people hopping around in space...so I think it's reasonable to assume that even if other prime shardworlds don't get literally visited...we'll see people from other planets moving between the stars.

P.S. I would totally put a jet pack on my space age shard plate...just sayin'
