  1. 1. What's your thought on Audiobooks....

    • Physical media only, why spend money on non-tangable objects.
    • I've never tried an audiobook, but for other reason
    • Michael Kramer and Kate Redding are gods! Audiobooks all the way.
    • I like to buy the book and have the audiobook too.
    • I'm an ebook fan

Physical and ebook. But while in Korea it's been all ebooks all the time. (Kindle on smart phones is about the best thing ever.) Sadly my book collection is suffering in boxed up purgatory at the moment. As for audio books...I'd listen to MK and KR recite their grocery list...so I own all the WoT audiobooks along with WoK.

My issue with audiobooks is the character names.  My internal pronunciation for character names often differs from the way they're supposed to be pronounced.  When I listen to the audiobooks, its often hard for me to match up the characters that the narrators are talking about with the ones I'm reading about.  Even when I can match them up, the difference in the ponunciations bothers me enough that I can't get into the story as well as when I just read it.

Ebooks all the way. As much as I read I used to completely overload the bookshelf. Heck, the bookshelf is still overloaded from old books. And all the extra books went into boxes in the storage closet at our old apartment. 3 big, extremely heavy boxes. And our new apartment has no storage closet. And I hated digging through the storage so I could get to my boxes of books and dig through them whenever I wanted to reread something.

Thank goodness for ebooks.

And taking WoK to work to read on breaks was also troublesome.

I usually read the ebook first because it is easier on my neck and I tend to read for long streches.

I buy the hardcovers as well for my collection and subsequent rereads which are usually done a few chapters a day :P
