WayneSpren he/him Posted September 15, 2015 Posted September 15, 2015 Across the 17th Shard I have met many people giving out Hemalurgic-spiked cookies. None of us give the new people healthy, non-Ruination cookies. None but myself, WayneSpren.* To combat this evil trend, I have created a new group. It is called the Light Alley. Here, we do not give Hemalurgic spikes, but metalminds! They are so much more helpful and do not enable you to be controlled by Ati. Come forth, denizens of the Light Alley! -- *Well, one time Gargoyle helped me. But that's beside the point. 4
+Slowswift Posted September 16, 2015 Posted September 16, 2015 Now this I can get behind. Count me in! 1
RippleGylf she/her Posted September 16, 2015 Posted September 16, 2015 I will gladly join the Light Alley. May everyone receive cookies without spikes! (Just a side note, what use are metalminds to non-feruchemists?) 2

(Just a side note, what use are metalminds to non-feruchemists?) They're excellent souvenirs, cool to look at, and you can sell them for scrap! (Some are made of gold, after all)
Lindel he/him Posted September 16, 2015 Posted September 16, 2015 I'm all for giving out spike-free cookies, but isn't it rather wasteful to go to all that trouble filling a metalmind just to throw it away? We might as well be giving them mundane jewelry and bracers. It's not like the Investiture matters to the recipient, they wouldn't even know the difference!
Redbird he/him Posted September 16, 2015 Posted September 16, 2015 It's funny, you think there are non-spiked cookies. 3

You don't have to fill it, just give it away. All the Ferrings among us will appreciate it, at least.
Mistrunner Posted September 16, 2015 Posted September 16, 2015 Finally! A well-lit, legitimate alleyway! How charming. 1
WayneSpren he/him Posted September 16, 2015 Author Posted September 16, 2015 Finally! A well-lit, legitimate alleyway! How charming. Not just well-lit. We have comfy chairs and Skittles too! 1
Young Bard he/him Posted September 16, 2015 Posted September 16, 2015 I see. Would the Anti-Bakery League be on this alley, perhaps?
Left he/him Posted September 16, 2015 Posted September 16, 2015 The Gunsmoke Barony fully endorses the light alley and will provide doughnuts as a welcome gift.
Guest Posted September 16, 2015 Posted September 16, 2015 It's funny, you think there are non-spiked cookies. Shhhhhhhh...
Fatebreaker he/him Posted September 16, 2015 Posted September 16, 2015 Ah, you people are so entertaining. This will go the path of the previous Light Alley, and the Antibakery before them. You will struggle valiantly, but in time you will fade. And we will be there waiting. 3
Zathoth Posted September 16, 2015 Posted September 16, 2015 Join The Dark Alley, we have investiture you can actually use. A better sales pitch would be to give away free breaths or maybe Lerasium beads. 1
RippleGylf she/her Posted September 16, 2015 Posted September 16, 2015 We could give out cupcakes with complimentary spheres!
WayneSpren he/him Posted September 17, 2015 Author Posted September 17, 2015 Great Ideas! We now give out a vast array of items, including Metalminds, Sticks, Spheres, and Lerasium! 1
18th Shard he/him Posted September 17, 2015 Posted September 17, 2015 Now this I can get behind. Count me in! So can I. Much easier to stab it in the back from here. 3
Grey Knight Posted September 18, 2015 Posted September 18, 2015 I like this. I'll take 20 emerald broam cupcakes, and a Stickiness metalmind.
The Honor Spren she/her Posted September 18, 2015 Posted September 18, 2015 This sounds lovely. I'm in.
ostrichofevil he/him Posted September 21, 2015 Posted September 21, 2015 WHAT IS THIS! First the Anti-Bakery and now a "Light Alley?" What is this forum coming to? What is the point of an Alley without Spikes? Spikes are vastly superior to Metalminds, for the following reasons: Spikes can be used by anyone, while Metalminds can only be used by Feruchemists. There's no point in giving out Metalminds, because only their creator can use them. Spikes cause Shardic influence. (Yes, this is a benefit.) Spikes can transfer many more abilities and traits than Feruchemy can. Quinoa. Note that when ranked in order of importance, those reasons are [5, 2, 1, 3, 4]. 4
ostrichofevil he/him Posted September 22, 2015 Posted September 22, 2015 "Yes, I just love murdering people. Well, actually, I don't care about the death. It's just the people who survive." Winter shrugged. You don't need to murder people; you can just Ruin their Spiritweb, then use various methods to heal them afterwards. 1
Zathoth Posted September 22, 2015 Posted September 22, 2015 We only steal the abilities of people who misuse them. At least I do, Im not sure about the rest of the Denizens. 1
RippleGylf she/her Posted September 22, 2015 Posted September 22, 2015 Begone, Denizens of the Dark Alley! We don't go and invade your alley.
ostrichofevil he/him Posted September 22, 2015 Posted September 22, 2015 Begone, Denizens of the Dark Alley! We don't go and invade your alley. We wouldn't be in your Alley unless you had explicitly said that you were our enemies. On a nicer note, I propose a truce. You don't interfere with our Cookie-baking, and we won't interfere with your Metalmind-Making. (Or Spike any of your members.) 1
Voidus Posted September 22, 2015 Posted September 22, 2015 Begone, Denizens of the Dark Alley! We don't go and invade your alley. All alleys were dark alleys before people started hanging lanterns out. 1
