It's clearly a match made in heaven the darkest nightmares of the maidens of Oregon.

"And because you're an Epic that means I'm all you ever dream about, right darling?"

With the rate she'd be picking up boyfriends/girlfriends/prehistoric murder machines we might need to rename the RP 'What Happened in Nevertheres Harem' :P

And thus the final battle shall be between Neverthere and Möbius to find out who shall be the supreme harem master! :P

And the winner is....Autumn! :P

Edgerunner and the Remington fangirls of the Dalles might have something to say about this. :P

Not to be pushy or anything, but how about something for Astoria.

I didn't think it was my turn. I'll check, if it is, then I'll try to do that one too.

I think you are, otherwise it may be a situation where either one could do something but no one feels it to be their responsibility. Not that I would mind a post about Altermind squeeling at the idea of a Voidgaze fan club special unit. :P

Haven't made much progress with the game the last couple of days but still working on it when I get time. Fixed the weird evil-voidgaze bug that was giving me nightmares.

Still good, I'd say. ;)

As a not exsisting fictional (does that make me double fictional? :P ) advisors I would advise equiping units with not metal based weapons, like explosives, flamethrowers, various kinds of gas and other chemical weapons. You might also be interested in Hazekiller rounds and letting Arsenal look at something resembling a tesla coil. Plus Epics, lots of them.

There's an easy solution, Shiny just has to find her real body! :P

Thanks. Though it occurs to me that my last two posts have been on the darker side. Sandman then Quicksilver...

And to think my last post before this recent set was the Mad Ballooner

Y'know Kobold, if Arsenal ever joined up with Quicksilver they'd be unstoppable.

Of possibly sonic weapons

So I wound up getting sucked into an episode of Monsters and Mysteries in America, and it got me thinking. Mailliw, this isn't a hugely game-important question, but I was wondering about it.

The episode followed a girl named Tana, who for some reason was being stalked by a supernatural doppelgänger. I didn't catch the part where it explained how it began or why, but the gist of it is that she'd been seeing glimpses of it, before the day when she was brushing her hair, heard a noise, and stopped brushing. Her reflection continued to brush after she stopped, and she ran out of her room screaming.

Tana went to college a few weeks later. Shortly after that, her mom was sitting in the living room watching TV when Tana burst through the door, seeming agitated. Turns out it was the doppelgänger, who walked to Tana's room, pointed, said her name, and vanished.

Some time later, Tana was working the opening shift at her restaurant. She heard a noise, and it was—you guessed it—the doppelgänger, wearing a uniform like hers. Tana ran to the walk-in fridge. When the doppelgänger didn't leave, Tana thought that maybe looking her double in the eye would end it, somehow. So she looked right at the doppelgänger, meeting her gaze.

The doppelgänger picked up a meat cleaver.

Now, I know that episode, despite being framed as a documentary, is almost certainly 90% made up. But it occurred to me that, back in the early days following Calamity, an illusionist like Altermind could have caused a hallucination like that easily. Even if the victim knew it was an Epic, they could have still wondered what powers said Epic had, whether it actually involved summoning supernatural beings, when and how it would stop, etc. Having been bullied, Altermind would have had the perfect motivation to drive a former tormentor insane.

Did he? Would he have? Or would he have opted for more immediate revenge?

Awesome post, Coma. Do you think the Queens would agree to wear trackers, since Euphoria went missing? Because that would be one of Jumpdrive's first thoughts when buying new equipment.

Ooh, that's a fun idea. He very well might've. He only would've snapped out at his Rending, which we've already seen, when he murdered all the people in his school with various educational tools, but otherwise, he'd be calculating and torturing in his revenge. So, I'd say yes.

The horrifying thing about Altermind's rending to me is that he could create an illusion of normality for everyone while he killed them all. One by one people are stabbed to death, barely even realizing it is happening, everyone around them oblivious until it is their turn O.O

damnation

Not during his Rending, but afterwards, yup. That's the reason I chose a mental illusionist: they can make you think almost anything.

Who would have received that particular fate? Were there some bullies who were absent the day of his Rending, or were there others who didn't go to his school and tormented him anyway?

I didn't have anyone particular in mind, but I'd imagine that someone who had been a bully and moved away before his Rending to another part of town or had been older than him and so had graduated would be prime candidates.

I have a strange urge to write a particular elbow-eating Epic right now.

Is there another Epic you could write to distract yourself?
