ostrichofevil he/him Posted August 27, 2015 Posted August 27, 2015 Pretty simple, but I think it's good for a start. What is so special about this Winterflame? Hotter than normal flame? Can't be extinguished? Makes things freeze instead of burn? It makes things both freeze and burn and can't be extinguished by normal methods. He has an interesting way of cooking food where he targets it with his powers, causing it to freeze while without becoming cold.
Mestiv he/him Posted August 27, 2015 Posted August 27, 2015 I admit I'm lost with this Winterflame Let's say I have a piece of meat and use Winterflame on it. What do I get? A very cold, but somehow fried steak?
ostrichofevil he/him Posted August 27, 2015 Posted August 27, 2015 There's more than one way that he can use it. If he simply shoots the Winterflame at the steak, then yes, he would get a cold but cooked steak. However, if he wants to make a hot popsicle (like with hot chocolate), he would continue to will the liquid to freeze even as he heated it up. 1
Mestiv he/him Posted August 27, 2015 Posted August 27, 2015 I have a feeling that Winterflame will be Oregon's most popular cook 1
Voidus Posted August 27, 2015 Posted August 27, 2015 Certainly looks interesting, might be wasted a bit in Salem since it's mostly just the arena fights there and I think he might do better somewhere with more plot going on, although Salem is building up a bit in that regard.
Edgedancer he/him Posted August 27, 2015 Posted August 27, 2015 This time in The Dalles, Autumn doesn't exactly say "paws off my man," but if you want to read it that way, sure. We shall take it like that then. Now let's see if Reader backs down or if the situation escalates further. There's more than one way that he can use it. If he simply shoots the Winterflame at the steak, then yes, he would get a cold but cooked steak. However, if he wants to make a hot popsicle (like with hot chocolate), he would continue to will the liquid to freeze even as he heated it up. So what would happen to the popsicle, once it's out of his winterflame? Would it just immediately melt? And for completions sake, what kind of scale are we talking about his fire/water/ice control?

However, he can will it to stay frozen, and it will stay frozen until he wills it to stop staying frozen. Shard-Shattering He can control maybe like 1000 kiloliters (a cube 10 meters on each side). On a good day, he can control up to 8000 kl (20x20x20), but that takes a lot out of him.

Does he actively have to concentrate on it for that? I see nd apart from that, like what degree of heat he can create or cool something down to and can he cool down every kind of liquid or only water? Oh and talking about Winter, Winter am I guessing right that you are setting up those minor Epics to get slaughtered by Funtimes as well?

Oh and talking about Winter, Winter am I guessing right that you are setting up those minor Epics to get slaughtered by Funtimes as well? No, but if he doesn't concentrate it only lasts 10 minutes. He can cool down to -60º Fahrenheit and up to 1000º Fahrenheit. If given enough time, he can create temperatures up to 4000º, but that takes at least several hours of partial concentration.
Mestiv he/him Posted August 27, 2015 Posted August 27, 2015 Ok, so how fast can he scorch my face with this 1000ºF? Just like that and I'm gone or I'm gonna suffer for few seconds What kind of person will he be? Serial killer? Rather peaceful for an epic? Give us some character traits

Voidus Posted August 27, 2015 Posted August 27, 2015 I feel like I should be posting somewhere but not sure where...Ah well, I found this: 6
Edgedancer he/him Posted August 27, 2015 Posted August 27, 2015 She'll probably end up ignoring them, though. I dunno, no matter what they think, Funtimes isn't actually a high Epic, so she is vulnerable if she underestimates people, as are the vanillas... who knows maybe someone else will kill them when Funtimes isn't looking. I feel like I should be posting somewhere but not sure where... Ah well, I found this: You mean for the RP or in general? Eh, one way or another we got a pug out of this. Oh and Kobold, as the guy in control of the zombies I have to ask you, when will this happen? Or a RP post in general. 1

No killing Vanillas we like." You mean for the RP or in general? Eh, one way or another we got a pug out of this. I meant the RP, but then I wouldn't be too surprised if it was an assignment or I was supposed to be liveblogging an event or something Thus hastening the pugpocalypse!

I'm not sure how in touch with the plants Cornucopia is (I'm sure some are getting destroyed given the attacks).

She'd be able to tell if she was close enough but not from all the way out in the Arboretum. You mean Nighthound? And having them go up against Funtimes was the original plan, but I'm not sure anymore, so I'll just play it by ear. That pug is adorable. I just love the startled look on his face, like s/he just does this all the time when noone's looking and suddenly got caught out

I'm pretty sure that if they start roming around in the terretory of the empire they'll anger someone eventually, for example Lightwards. *Hits Nighthound with newspaper* "Bad Nighthound! No killing Vanillas we like." I meant the RP, but then I wouldn't be too surprised if it was an assignment or I was supposed to be liveblogging an event or something Thus hastening the pugpocalypse! Please, he wouldn't kill any of those, he'd keep them as hostages. Well PP, Neverthere, Cornucopia and Bioterror are more or less waiting on a post, so I guess whoever feels the most suited to your mind right now. 1

That would definitely make him angry, and he couldn't very well have them be a bunch of covert assassins, angry as they are. Nighthound, you're grounded! No more hostages for a month, in game time! Don't try to argue with me, young man. You've already taken three hostages in the past four days. No, I said don't argue. Would you like me to have Obliteration finish this argument? While we're vaguely on the subject of pugs, I ordered a Time-Turner necklace which arrived yesterday. Here's Bruno modeling it for you: You can't really see it in the picture, but he wouldn't stop wagging his tail. 3

Give us some character traits It would probably take about 5 minutes of concentration to get that hot. He rules Nantucket Island, on the east coast. He's normally fairly peaceful (for an Epic), but when he uses his fire for too long he becomes unstable.

"Heh, that means I'll have to live for at least that long right? Oh, and they aren't hostages, they are slaves." Behold tha magic pug! I was thinking about, what about a city which had been destroyed, but some kind of Epic with building powers recreated the city with 'ideal' buildings? (Or maybe just an Epic in another city with building powers, but I think they'd be mentioned by now if someone was going around making buildings) Eh, I dunno. I'm still of the opinion that the next city should be just a normal one with a turf war.

He's normally fairly peaceful (for an Epic), but when he uses his fire for too long he becomes unstable. That is an awefully long distance away, especially if he has a place to run. Isn't that what Portland is, though? Yes but the thing is that we already have to many fancy settings. Doubly so because they come with some requirements for the characters to fit in and tend to have a central Epic, which people will flock to and create a power imbalance. By the way, did anyone hear from Quiver and Gylf? 1

Just let me know if Cornucopia will be conferenced in to the meeting or not .

I think I mentioned in her earlier post that she'd received word about the first lot of attacks so she'd be waiting for a call of some kind. So I'd say that she would accept it, yes.
