Firehead13
So I was recently going back through and reading WoR when I came across an interesting fellow in the background. Right after Wit/Hoid reappears at the warcamps he rides with Adolin, Shallan, and Kaladin as their driver. At some point along the trip, he hops off and another gent hops on (I'm not entirely convinced he hops off, since we know he can light weave to some degree, but I digress). This fellow is described as playing with an oddly shaped white hat and, in a world where Sanderson is particularly good about telling us what people sound like, has an accent that can't be placed. Now it may just be because hats and accents are two of Wayne's quirks, but I immediately jumped to him and felt the need to share. Thoughts from shard?
Michael Portz
Hmm ... I guess you are refering to the following paragraph: Wit was gone from the top of the carriage. Another man sat there instead, a younger fellow in brown trousers and a white shirt, a cap on his head. He pulled that off, looking embarrassed. “Oi’m sorry, sir,” the man said. He had an accent Kaladin didn’t recognize. There is no hat at all and the cap isn't even white. I would say your idea is a bit farfetched; but who knows ;-) EDIT: Found another interpretation of the whole scene: http://squirenonny.tumblr.com/post/94601430912/wit-was-gone-from-the-top-of-the-carriage-another Edited July 30, 2015 by Atastor
Lazarus52980
That was my interpretation of the scene as well. Some sort of illusion (Lightweaving or otherwise) and that it was still Wit/Hoid.
The Honor Spren
Yep, it says in Th Liar of Partinel, that he can do lightweaving.

I think it could be some Sanderson foreshadowing, but too soon to tell, i think.
Orlion Blight
Though it is not Wayne himself, that does not mean Hoid is not imitating Wayne.
Shardbearer
I believe Stormlight and Wax/Wayne take place at roughly the same time, so for him to end up on Roshar would be a bit convoluted.
ARARITA
Blouth in WoR had a hat that he traded for - but he is real dead - I'd say also not Wayne
The Sovereign
Hey, I accidentally down-voted Firehead13's opening post, could someone please correct this?

ParadoxicalZen
Unfortunately no. SA/WoK/WoR takes place just before AoL. Not unless Brandon's been throwing us for a loop and Wayne has been a secret agent for Harmony ever since whenever (or Hoid's lightweaving as has been said) Edited July 30, 2015 by ParadoxSpren

Witborn
Citation, in case anybody's wondering. That quote says AoL happened hundreds of years before WoK.
ParadoxicalZen
That quote says AoL happened hundreds of years before WoK. Read the footnote of that particular WoB
Witborn
Read the footnote of that particular WoBI never did like footnotes (shakes fist). Here is the more updated one. ZAS678 (REDDIT.COM) How long before Way of Kings is Alloy of Law? I heard somewhere that it's a hundred years, but I don't think that's right. BRANDON SANDERSON (REDDIT.COM) I intended them to be happening roughly close to one another, with Way of Kings slightly before. FOOTNOTE This is in conflict with earlier reports, so it was confirmed TAGS cosmere, alloy of law, mistborn, stormlight archive, way of kings, chronology Edited July 30, 2015 by Witborn
