Joe ST he/him
Hey, the forum's tab-ring is foobar'd. It would be nice if I could tab from the 'insert post here' box to something below that which would allow me to submit it, in one tabstroke. rather than being taken upto the logo/home-button. Thankyou Joe
Chaos he/him
I'm not sure there's a way to do so. It may simply be a function of the SMF 1.x software. I've checked a few other SMF's of that version and it's giving me the same issue. SMF 2, however, seems to have fixed the issue, but it's in release candidate stage, and while I'm all for having release candidate and betas on my own computer, I don't really want to inflict that upon the site. When SMF 2 comes out, I will upgrade it pronto, but I haven't found a method to change it now, because it's all embedded in the forum's software. EDIT: Did some more research. It may be possible for me to adjust the tab sequence. Maybe.
Joe ST he/him
Yeah, the tab-ring isnt anything that SMF does, apart from it maybe being in the js/css. I used to use SMF quite a lot, made some plugins for it and stuff. SMF2 is never gonna come out, its been 'nearly there' for about 7 years. and there are other, more modern (securer/safer/etc.) bb's nowadays. But yeah, it should only be javascript/css Thanks Joe

SMF is free and able to be hosted on our own servers unlike quite a few other free forums, which are hosted elsewhere. If you have other forums that you'd like to recommend, I'm all ears, though. Persuade me Of course it takes forever. They aren't exactly being paid to develop it.

Joe ST he/him
I wasnt suggesting you change, just dont expect SMF2 to come out any time soon. I always was an SMF fanboy really, but there are definitely newer/better ones out there these days.
Chaos he/him
If only I had $150 for IPB 3... that thing looks amazing.
Joe ST he/him
If only I had $150 for IPB 3... that thing looks amazing. I can shell out $150, if you're serious. Joe
Chaos he/him
Wha--what? This is appealing. Hey Joe, if you have anything AIM or Skype, feel free to contact me. I'm doing more research on this subject.
Joe ST he/him
Well, there's that, and there's a yearly subscription that I'd have to keep up, too. But, um, I'd take donations. EDIT: I need to do more research on this subject. I bet if you added a paid subscription thing (with perks of some sort?) that'd easy cover costs. Until the site gets super popular, and you need superawesome servers at least. I'd certainly have a yearly subscription of upto $20 I guess, and I'm sure there's others that would. Chaos he/him
Well, I can definitely do subscription fees myself. It's worth it. Man. IPB is amazing. Contact me if you're serious here, because man, I'd love it.
Chaos he/him
It looks like doing this can preserve all forum data, with exception of the skinning. Which means on my front, I'm thrilled. Let's do this.
