Other forums I've been on have either been too huge for me to really do anything or my input has been ignored in major discussions. I feel like my opinion has actual weight here. Also, I would never have been able to get my RP up as fast on another board. XP

Andrew the Great he/him Posted January 30, 2011 Posted January 30, 2011 Agreed. I used to feel the same way about TWG, but lately I'm not liking it as much. I still go around every now and then, but not nearly as often as I'm here. (of course, many of the people who were around when I really enjoyed TWG are here as well, so that could have something to do with it). I've tried a whole bunch of forums over the last couple of years, but I've only stuck with a few. I still lurk on a few (mostly Dragonmount here), but for the most part I only bother scanning others every couple of weeks. The only places I ever bother to post anymore are here and TWG.

Oh well. Someone's WRONG on the internet?! That NEVER happens. This is the only forum I've ever signed up for, unless you count being automatically signed up for the WoW forums. That says something about you guys, you didn't scare me away with your insanity! (Also, I needed easy access to cosmere information...)
Eerongal he/him Posted January 31, 2011 Posted January 31, 2011 i'm gonna have to go ahead and just say it right now, that using my obviously utterly infallible logic, i'm going to have to correlate all the awesomeness of these forums entirely to myself. My reasoning here is simple. Since i've joined, i've noticed the number of new users and the amount of activity increasing exponentially. Prior to my joining and viewing of these forums, i didn't notice a single new user sign up, nor a single new post in any topic. >:3

CrazyRioter she/her Posted February 3, 2011 Posted February 3, 2011 I am personally of the opinion that the awesomeness of a forum is a parabolic curve associated with the number of regular posters, too few and it's boring, too many and you start getting overrun by chatspeaking morons.
