Adamir he/him Posted July 7, 2015 Posted July 7, 2015 Suggest possible fictional characters and which types of Investiture would best compliment and/or replace their skills/powers. My immediate thought - Windrunner Spiderman. He wouldn't even have to open his eyes, he could use his Spider Sense to tell when to change direction. Adhesion would also allow him to more efficiently cling to walls without fear of getting pulled off. 1
Kobold King he/him Posted July 8, 2015 Posted July 8, 2015 I could imagine Batman as some sort of Ferring, probably an electrum Ferring. He'd store an attribute all day while living as playboy billionaire Bruce Wayne, only to tap into his reserves by night when he fights crime. The kind of delicate balance and planning feruchemy involves seems to fit Batman's psychology, I think. 4
Coinshooter he/him Posted July 13, 2015 Posted July 13, 2015 Yoda, I think, would fit as a Mistborn. Super powerful with the force, those powers would only allow him to become even better. The tin, pewter, and just about everything else would make him an even bigger force to be reckoned with - and who knows? Perhaps it would have let him beat the Emporer (but really, I just want to see a Mistborn Jedi). And I could easily see Darth Vader being a Hemalurgist - being more man than machine, the spikes could allow him to survive in even more circumstances, make him a more terrifying villain, and so forth. It seems to fit his style, too. Which raises the question - could Hemalurgy steal the Force from someone? 1

FireSlayer she/her Posted July 13, 2015 Posted July 13, 2015 Legolas--and Clint Barton and Robin Hood--could be steel or iron Mistings--not that they need help with their precision any, but it might give a bit more force to the arrows. Pietro Maximoff needed to be a gold Ferring. As did Thorin and Fili and Kili. Gandalf could totally Awaken things. And it might be interesting for the Doctor to be a gold Misting...though that could go either way, encouraging or depressing. It might be handier if he could Lash. Just a few ideas--I'm sure I'll be back with more. Brilliant thread! =D (And Darth Vader with hemalurgy would be seriously scary. o_o) 3

Brilliant thread! =D (And Darth Vader with hemalurgy would be seriously scary. o_o) This thread is indeed interesting - I agree that the Doctor would have access to one of the temporal metals, and though the being an Augur would fit, I think he'd prefer to have bendalloy at his command. Also, thinking about Darth Vader having Hemalurgy could help with his circuitry and whatnot. It would kill two rebel Mistings with one spike, to change the phrase up a bit. 2
ChullRider he/him Posted July 14, 2015 Posted July 14, 2015 I actually made a thread about this: All Jedi = Windrunners, making all Stormtroopers miss their targets. 3
Adamir he/him Posted July 15, 2015 Author Posted July 15, 2015 Oliver Queen - zinc ferring. Tap mental speed for the time it takes to calculate his shots for their accuracy. Barry Allen - pewter/steel Twinborn. Steel for Insert Captain Obvious Meme Here, pewter to survive sudden loss of momentum and for above average healing. Daenerys Targaryen - zinc/brass Twinborn. Zinc to riot emotions, gather followers and maintain control over her dragons, brass to store heat and thereby survive the funeral pyre.
Paragrin she/her Posted July 25, 2015 Posted July 25, 2015 Sherlock would definitely be an Allomantic tin/Feruchemical zinc Twinborn. The way he sees tiny details from a distance and makes huge logical chains in the time it takes a glass to fall fits perfectly. Mycroft is clearly an Archivist. 1

You just figured everything out for me for my Mistborn/Holmes crossover! Seriously, though, that's perfect. Way better than what I was thinking (double zinc). More on topic, I think the Doctor would make an excellent Windrunner, if only for the ideals (in that case, maybe the Willshapers as well...). 2
Wolven he/him Posted July 26, 2015 Posted July 26, 2015 Drizzt Do'Urden as a Windrunner with dual shardblades. 2
Kobold King he/him Posted July 26, 2015 Posted July 26, 2015 Drizzt Do'Urden as a Windrunner with dual shardblades. Drizzt Do'Urden slaughtered my people. 3
+Slowswift Posted July 26, 2015 Posted July 26, 2015 What would John Watson be? A Bloodmaker Ferring? 1
Coinshooter he/him Posted July 26, 2015 Posted July 26, 2015 I know nothing of Sherlock, and I agree that the Doctor would make a great Windrunner. The abilities also seem to be in par with his style - or at least, with previous regenerations (I still haven't seen series 8, but that's for another topic). What I can suggest, however, are powers for Indiana Jones. I believe that being an Iron/Copper twinborn would work out perfectly for him - pull precious artifacts/weapons away from traps, enemies, and so forth (that Cortez thing would have gone over a lot smoother if he'd been able to Ironpull the cross away), whereas having a coppermind at his disposal would greatly assist in remembering details, clues, and so forth, letting him be more effective and possibly quicker in his hunts. And then the journal fiasco in the third movie could also have been averted (though lets be honest, his father would probably have also stored that stuff in his own coppermind). And now I try to think of someone that would sync well with AonDor. I wish we could see more of that power... 1
Wolven he/him Posted July 27, 2015 Posted July 27, 2015 Drizzt Do'Urden slaughtered my people. Yeah well your people are dirty little lizard...rat....dog things so... 2
Ookla the Absent Posted August 2, 2015 Posted August 2, 2015 (edited) All Jedi = Windrunners, making all Stormtroopers miss their targets. I always thought mistborn were basically jedi: push/pull, mindtricks, force senses, super strength and speed... Drizzt Do'Urden slaughtered my people. That's what you get for turning your back on the true ruler of Koboldkind: Our Lady Haruu, the Dragon Queen of the Far Mountains! (I'm involved in a very kobold centric rpg right now. I'm the stark raving loony scout, who enjoys playing with knives.) He'd probably run with scissors too, if you gave him some Edited August 2, 2015 by Gargoyle 4

Aon Ati he/him Posted September 17, 2017 Posted September 17, 2017 I would apply some Intestiture to the Percy Jackson world. Rachel, because she is immune to the mist, would be a Smoker. Piper can influence people's minds, so she would either be a Rioter or a Soother. And the Olympians would all be Returned who have found ways to satisfy their weekly Breath.
