So, then the question is how do you get a 'rewritten connection to that area'?  Doesn't sound simple.

Well, easy answer is burn lerasium (using some special method to get a different sDNA rewrite) or use hemalurgy.

I think the 'rewritten' connection is more for 'Galladon using soulstamps in MaiPon' than 'Galladon using Aons on Scandrial', though.
