Titan Arum Posted June 27, 2015 Posted June 27, 2015 Is it something that exists outside of the Cosmere as well? Is it gravity? Is it investiture-based?
Emerald101 he/him Posted June 27, 2015 Posted June 27, 2015 Is it in the physical realm? If so, Is it sentient there? Is it alive? If not, is it Biotic? Is it larger than the average human? Is it on First of the Sun?
DreamEternal Posted June 27, 2015 Posted June 27, 2015 It exists outside the cosmere It isn't gravity It isn't investiture-based It isn't Hoid It isn't investiture or a shard It is in the physical realm It isn't sentient It isn't alive I am not sure what biotic means, but it isn't biological. Size does not aply directly to it I think it is in first of the sun, but don't know if it appears. It exists here on Earth.
Guest Posted June 27, 2015 Posted June 27, 2015 A biotic factor is any living component that affects another organism, including animals that consume the organism in question, and the living food that the organism consumes. (Google)
DreamEternal Posted June 27, 2015 Posted June 27, 2015 If it has to be living to be a biotic factor, then no, it isn't one.
Emerald101 he/him Posted June 27, 2015 Posted June 27, 2015 (edited) minor housekeeping here: A biotic factor is a reference to a part of an environment/habitat, whereas Something being "biotic" refers to matter that is, or once was, living. (i.e. a wooden plank would be non-living but biotic) on topic: is it an object? Edit: grammar Edited June 27, 2015 by Emerald101 1
DreamEternal Posted June 27, 2015 Posted June 27, 2015 Is it an object? Depends on how you see it, but I'd say that it isn't. On the biotic question: it isn't biotic.
Titan Arum Posted June 27, 2015 Posted June 27, 2015 Is it a force or an unseen element/gas like Oxygen or CO2?
DreamEternal Posted June 28, 2015 Posted June 28, 2015 (edited) Is it a concept? Well, depends on how you see a concept, but you would probably think it isn't. Is it a force or unseem element? No, but nice guess. Is it a city? No. Is it a continent? No. Edited June 28, 2015 by CognitivePulsePattern
Guest Posted June 28, 2015 Posted June 28, 2015 Can it be sensed by humans with: Smell? Sight? Hearing? Touch? Taste?
DreamEternal Posted June 28, 2015 Posted June 28, 2015 (edited) It is visible You can smell it, if ground to dust You can taste, at least I think, never tried myself. You can touch it It can be used to make noise, but is soundless on itself. Edited June 28, 2015 by CognitivePulsePattern
Guest Posted June 28, 2015 Posted June 28, 2015 So it's not an object, but it is physical. Just to confirm, by "not an object" did you mean "not a specific object"? So the thing could in some circumstances be part of an object? Is it more useful on a particular Shardworld than on other worlds?
Titan Arum Posted June 28, 2015 Posted June 28, 2015 Is it something that we've actually seen in every book or novella, or is it just an assumption that it exists on every world?
DreamEternal Posted June 28, 2015 Posted June 28, 2015 (edited) Does it exist outside the cosmere? Is it alive? Is it sentient? Can it move? Is it biotic? Edited June 28, 2015 by CognitivePulsePattern
Silverblade5 he/him Posted June 28, 2015 Posted June 28, 2015 Does it exist outside the cosmere? Is it alive? Is it sentient? Can it move? Is it biotic? Yes no no no no
Varyn he/him Posted June 28, 2015 Author Posted June 28, 2015 Is it a physical object? Is it on every Shardworld? If not, is it on only one?
