Edgedancer he/him Posted June 1, 2015 Posted June 1, 2015 So what you guys are trying to tell me Now is that our characters are actually wearing sensible clothing that fits their character? Sudenly my entire view on this RP is crushed! (Says the guy who has two characters that are almost constantly covered in clothing from head to toe.) 1
TwiLyghtSansSparkles she/her Posted June 1, 2015 Author Posted June 1, 2015 I just realized: the BBQ sauce recipe my family uses is a modified version of one from Allrecipes.com, called Big Al's KC BBQ sauce. 1
Fatebreaker he/him Posted June 1, 2015 Posted June 1, 2015 learned a new word, came up with a new Epic: The Defenestrator Primary: Can throw practically anyone or anything through a window or off a balcony. Secondary: Can create windows or balconies so defenestration may occur. Passive: is immune to death by being thrown off or through things. 3
the Gleeman he/him Posted June 1, 2015 Posted June 1, 2015 Is he by chance from Prague? They are known for defenestrating unliked politicians. 2

I always knew he'd hit it big in the fast food business. Anyway... bad news everybody. After watching a video shipping Rainbow Dash with... "the Jokermort"... well... I don't think we're the craziest most shiptastic madhouse on the Internet any more. 1

Fatebreaker he/him Posted June 1, 2015 Posted June 1, 2015 Is he by chance from Prague? They are known for defenestrating unliked politicians. How'd you know? He would've been perfect id he'd joined MEE for the attack on the MoNA. Just put him in a fight with Nighthound, Lightwards, Lucentia, anyone who you want thrown off the Museum. 1
TwiLyghtSansSparkles she/her Posted June 1, 2015 Author Posted June 1, 2015 (edited) You ship it, I ponify it and set it to upbeat music. It can't go wrong! Calamity enjoyed corrupting people. He wasn't sure why, and neither was anyone else. Perhaps Regalia knew, and Prof and Tia as well, but those three kept Calamity's motivations to themselves for their own mysterious reasons. So he sat up in the sky, descending only to turn yet another person with a tragic past into a homicidal sociopath. It was his actions, not his motivations, that drew a smushy-faced suitor to his lair. Protector Pug trotted up to the Epic, her little heart pounding furiously. He eyed the rose clutched between her teeth with disdain. She set it down anyway. "I suppose you think you're rather clever, bringing me a pink rose. Think clashing colors are my weakness?" Protector Pug said nothing, for she was a dog. "Well, it isn't. I don't turn dogs for some reason, so you might as well leave." She wagged her tail, opening her mouth and lolling her tongue in a doggy grin. Calamity scowled. "Leave me at once, smushy-faced fiend!" Protector Pug did not leave,'though his tone told her to. She knew that tone, and she knew what he needed. She trotted over to him, put her paw on his foot as though claiming him for her own, and let out the longest, loudest snort she could. "No!" Calamity said. "No, I won't be swayed by your snorting!" She tilted her head. Calamity looked away. Protector Pug knew why. He was afraid. She didn't know if it was her smushy face or her soft fur or the way she snorted with gusto, but she frightened Calamity. So she did the only thing she could. She jumped into his lap and pawed at his cheek. Calamity began to cry. He cried long and loud, and Protector Pug snuggled close. "I'm sorry," he said when he could speak. "I'm so sorry." Protector Pug wagged her tail, and he embraced her. "From now on," he promised, "things will change. Nighthound will die, the Epics will be good...and you, my smushy-faced angel, will rule beside me as my snorting consort!" Protector Pug wagged her tail. There you go, Kobold. Curious Anamaximder he/him Posted June 1, 2015 Posted June 1, 2015 I was going to call him the Fan Servor, but that works too. I have changed his name.... Behold the DressMaker!! * Slowly backs away*

If you mix cuteness and insanity too well I won't be able to fond fitting mood music. 1
TwiLyghtSansSparkles she/her Posted June 1, 2015 Author Posted June 1, 2015 Darn it, Twi! If you mix cuteness and insanity too well I won't be able to fond fitting mood music. How about "Shut Up and Dance" by Walk the Moon? Or "Barbara Manatee" from VeggieTales? 4
TwiLyghtSansSparkles she/her Posted June 1, 2015 Author Posted June 1, 2015 Is there any thread I need to post on? I don't think so.
Kobold King he/him Posted June 1, 2015 Posted June 1, 2015 How about "Shut Up and Dance" by Walk the Moon? Or "Barbara Manatee" from VeggieTales? That reminds me that I still haven't made a PMV of "Larry's High Silk Hat" about Lightwards' bowler. 2
TwiLyghtSansSparkles she/her Posted June 1, 2015 Author Posted June 1, 2015 That reminds me that I still haven't made a PMV of "Larry's High Silk Hat" about Lightwards' bowler. But who would be the hero poor unfortunate soul who finally sat on his hat? 1
Kobold King he/him Posted June 1, 2015 Posted June 1, 2015 But who would be the hero poor unfortunate soul who finally sat on his hat? Big Al, obviously. He's the hero we need, but not the one we deserve. 1
TwiLyghtSansSparkles she/her Posted June 1, 2015 Author Posted June 1, 2015 ….and now that song is in my head. Thanks. 1
Kobold King he/him Posted June 1, 2015 Posted June 1, 2015 ….and now that song is in my head. Thanks. One day while he was meeting with Lucentia He had a hat "My bowler hat!" He wore it high upon his head so proudly An elegant hat "My bowler hat!" A hat that like just makes him feel so grandly Now fancy this And fancy that. The splendor of his hat in all its majesty "Like Steelheart! In an epic cap!" "I feel so swell and powerful in my hat "I bet Portlanders fear me just for that!" A hat as this, a hat as that, a hat so fine, a bowler haaaaat! "Oh golly Queen Lucentia, now what do you think of that?" 5
Blackhoof Posted June 2, 2015 Posted June 2, 2015 So what you guys are trying to tell me Now is that our characters are actually wearing sensible clothing that fits their character? Sudenly my entire view on this RP is crushed! (Says the guy who has two characters that are almost constantly covered in clothing from head to toe.) Well Iconcolast tends to reduce any clothes he is wearing to rags pretty quickly, and he usually adopts a fit, handsome, well-toned body, so you wouldn't be inaccurate imagining him that way although the blood, claws and fangs are probably turn-offs to most people
mail-mi he/him Posted June 2, 2015 Posted June 2, 2015 Because of the recent conversation, I had a thought. What if, like most male Epics are more strong and manly, like common make superheroes, Calamity actually does make female Epics more *ahem* well-endowed and tempted to wear scanty clothing?
TwiLyghtSansSparkles she/her Posted June 2, 2015 Author Posted June 2, 2015 Because of the recent conversation, I had a thought. What if, like most male Epics are more strong and manly, like common make superheroes, Calamity actually does make female Epics more *ahem* well-endowed and tempted to wear scanty clothing? That….is a very disturbing thought. I take solace in the fact that Regalia was only attractive through her water projections and Newton appeared to dress rather modestly. At any rate, there was nothing specifically pointing out a proclivity for cleavage-baring tops or short skirts, which I think would've been mentioned if it were important.
Voidus Posted June 2, 2015 Posted June 2, 2015 Yeah I'm inclined to disagree on the clothing front, last I checked Prof wasn't compelled to bare his abs every 5 seconds of screen time either but I did feel that it was sort of implied that the female Epics were usually considered more attractive too. 2
Blackhoof Posted June 2, 2015 Posted June 2, 2015 and Sourcefield completely covered herself head-to-toe, as did Refractionary. So thankfully I don't think that is a thing.
Kobold King he/him Posted June 2, 2015 Posted June 2, 2015 That….is a very disturbing thought. I take solace in the fact that Regalia was only attractive through her water projections and Newton appeared to dress rather modestly. At any rate, there was nothing specifically pointing out a proclivity for cleavage-baring tops or short skirts, which I think would've been mentioned if it were important. I think Epics are more like the Returned of the Cosmere--they become what they see themselves as. Regalia sees herself as venerable and wise, and has fully accepted the fact that she's soon to die. So she looks like the ancient crone senior citizen that she is. Newton isn't particularly attractive because she never saw herself as particularly attractive. In her fear of never reaching parental expectations, she modeled herself as a punk chick of average appearance... and Calamity solidified that appearance. Steelheart saw himself as a giant among men even before Calamity, seeing others as smaller and weaker than himself. When Calamity made him literally stronger than anyone else he could ever meet, it also made him literally taller and more imposing. It'd be interesting to know whether people who knew Epics before their Rendings notice any major differences in their appearances after they become Epics. Another question for the FUNTIMES list, perhaps? 4
Mckeedee123 he/him Posted June 2, 2015 Posted June 2, 2015 (edited) Here's a new Epic- Pops Power: He can sanitize and refill old soda bottles and bags of chips with the desired drink or snack. He can only recreate actual copyrighted snack products. Appearance: An old man with long, dark-grey hair and beard. Think Gandalf except with suspenders Obsessive Personality Flaw(s): Megalomania As can be imagined, Pops is a much sought-after Epic, both for practical and recreational reasons. He's willing to play a support role in most groups so long as he's given power later on Edited June 2, 2015 by Mckeedee123 2
