To cheer you up, perhaps you'd like a Wayne bookie. It comes with a free hat! It's lucky, you see, as it's never been eaten while wearing that hat, though that may change.

Mistrunner comes out of the kitchen bearing a tray of bookies.

"So I fell asleep while cooking the Grandpa Smedrys, but that's okay because they're arriving late to being burned..." She looks up. "Storms! What's going on here?

"Eh, Winter came in and made a scene, though that's to be expected," Amrynn replied. "Though this wasn't quite as spectacular as the scene on the highway."

"I know she and her sister have the same nose, but it's a completely different color scheme!" Exclaims Maggie.

"And a few less spikes," Opal mutters.

Ameynn winces, Fi giggling. "Sorry Summer. To be honest, I had been thinking Summer but said Winter, my mouth independent of my mind. I didn't mean to offend you." He turned and pulled something from his satchel, "To make up for my slip of the tongue, would you like a Tien bookie? It always makes you feel better."

Max bursts into the room, and kneels down. He seems flustered. "Ok, hi, hello, how are you all... Ummm. Ok. I'm new around here and iwasjustwonderingificouldjointheknightsifthatsokthankssomuchhereigo."

He takes a deep breath and begins to chant the oaths-

Books before friends.

17th Shard before the real world.

Release dates before birthdays.

I will read that which has not been read

I will stay silent amongst many words

I will enjoy without being upvoted

He stands up, looks around, and runs over to an empty chair in the dark corner, pulling out a copy of WoR, with a sphere for light, muttering something about sticks

Mistrunner looks up from the tray of bookies to see Max reciting the Words. Her hair is in her face, she has flour on her nose, and she's wearing an apron that says "(please don't) Spike the Cook!"

"Hello," she says. "Welcome to the Knights Awkward. Would you like a bookie?"

"Oh yes," Exclaims Maggie, putting her face right up to the face of the newcomer. Was this too close? She couldn't tell. "You should really try one. The Elend bookies taste just like nerds."

She extends her hand as a grin spreads across her face, a face that is still about 4 inches away from his. "I'm Maggie by the way. You?"

"Umm hi there" mumbles Max, shaking Maggie's hand. "I'm.. Max. I guess I'll take an Elend then." He tries to shy away "Also... could you get your face out of mine?"

Posted

"Oh. Yes it is rather close isn't it?" Maggie backs away. "Now if you'll excuse me, I have to look for secret codes inside Words of Radiance. No one ever found some yet, but you know what they say! Forty-second time's the charm!"

Max finishes off his Elend bookie, and gives a satisfied "mm". "Assembled Knights- I am sorry, but all your bookies are belong to me now. They just taste... SO GOOD" Max shouts as he lunges towards the plate of bookies. In one fell swoop he grabs up numerous Kaladins, Elends and a Sazed. He dashes back to his reading nook and begins devouring them. "I..is this chouta? I must of grabbed a Lopen by mistake. No biggie though." He returns to eating as his spren Tarn rushes to his lap, begging for bookies

Allomancy burst into the room, a crazed look in her eyes. She looks around all all the occupants in the room in turn.

"Hello" she says in a raspy voice, harsh because of the lack of talking(she had been silent for a long time, busy reading books. Too busy for a social life.).

"I'm back. And guess what I brought?"

She pulls from behind her back...

A lot of bookies!!!

"... for me"

She continues to walk to a corner, mistcloak flying behind her, and devours all the bookies. Yum.

Mist grumbles about insubordinate members and heads off to get another batch of bookies out of the oven.

"I'm getting out the Sarenes and... aw man, the Sicks are, well, sticks. I thought I had that fixed..." She sighs and brings out the Sarene bookies anyway. "Who's hungry?"

I shall speak the oaths.

I will offer cookies to those who have not been spiked initiated
I will sustain the knowledge of Hemalurgy because it is fun
I will seek to avoid being avoided in dark alleys

Mistrunner pops out of the kitchen again, still wearing the "(Don't) Spike the Cook" apron and covered in bookie dust (flour). She's just shoved an entire Sarene bookie into her mouth and has to take a moment to chew before saying, "Your words have been accepted. Welcome to the Knights Awkward. Would you like a bookie please don't spike me."

Max hopped up and patted Morzathoth on the back. "Welcome to the Knights, my friend!"

He leant in and whispered in his ear "Please, please don't spike me..."

Posted

"But, but... I have a spike made out of cookium, filled with the skills of a master... who wasnt very nice and totally had it coming... I'll just have the bookie..."

Amrynn cautiously approached the newcomer, Fi staying back.

"I don't know about this guy." Fi cautioned, "He seems like one of those monstrosities from the Dark Alley."

"I know, I feel it too." Amrynn replied. "I'll be cautious." He approached the newcomer with a careful but sure step. "As long as you don't spike anyone against their will, I welcome you with open arms."

We are scientists, not monsters! Well... I am Eldritch Horror from impossible planes of existence and I am not sure sure Voidus even exists anymore in the conventional sense of the word, but still, science!

To deal with the awkward silence following this statement, and to cover the awkwardness of standing there open-mouthed with a tray of bookies, Mistrunner shoves another bookie into her mouth and thrusts one at Morzathoth.

Posted

"So anywa-th mug muthmu..." *Swallows* "Warbreaker flavor?"

Mist stares for a minute, then swallows and answers. "Yeah. Um. Vivienna. To be precise."

Maggie pops up in between Mozathoth and Mistrunner, then whispers, "Awkward Silennnnncccccccee . . . " Then slowly backs away, wiggling her fingers in a vain effort to make them look like tentacles.
