Arook he/him Posted May 29, 2015 Posted May 29, 2015 Metal spear tip would be better, it would be easier to implant.
Adamir he/him Posted May 29, 2015 Posted May 29, 2015 (edited) And thus the true face of the internet is revealed - we are seriously discussing how to most efficiently commit human sacrifice without any of the Dark Powers going to waste. Edited May 29, 2015 by Adamir 2
Voidus Posted May 29, 2015 Posted May 29, 2015 There's an entire hemalurgic guild in the social groups section, I'd say the true face was revealed long ago 2
Lord Tavash Shar Posted May 29, 2015 Posted May 29, 2015 Gold Compounders would only be able to create multiple gold Allomancy spikes. Their Feruchemy is healing the part of the soul that is removed. If you spike out their Feruchemy they can't heal it back. I always thought that was gotten around by spiking them with there own spike. With there ability to heal back there bodies would instinctively use it to heal. This would also be how some one could burn a hemalugic spike... Which we still don't know what results this creates.... 1
Guest Posted May 29, 2015 Posted May 29, 2015 I just hope we get to see someone burn a Hemalurgic Spike that's Implanted (rather than swallowed) in the next few books. Maybe another Gold Compounder like Miles, who tries to burn an Implanted armband he doesn't know is Hemalurgic.

It is generally assumed that a metalmind will give its feruchemical attribute when burned whether or not you have feruchemy yourself, since Vin could detect a separate reserve when she tried gulping down one of Sazed's metalminds. She just couldn't burn that power due to the identity lock. A gold compounder presumably has no issues, so he can just flare-heal his feruchemy back with his allomancy if he had stored a bunch of health beforehand in chunks of gold. IIRC burning the spike causes permanent splicing of the contents into you, but I forgot where I heard that.
Guest Posted May 30, 2015 Posted May 30, 2015 IIRC burning the spike causes permanent splicing of the contents into you, but I forgot where I heard that. That's for a regular, swallowed Spike (like if Vin had swallowed her Earring). There're a few WoB's about this, though some seem contradictory so I dunno if he changed his mind or was just discussing different aspects of the same thing. What I'm talking about is an Inquisitor burning their own eye Spike for Allomantic power. There's a WoB saying it's possible, but that it would be insanely painful.
Voidus Posted May 30, 2015 Posted May 30, 2015 There's some conflicting WoB on burning spikes, ingested or otherwise, both from quite a while ago, but he's been RAFOing it lately I think so it's probably been changed at some point or is going to be revealed in future books.
