What sort of powers corrupt in a way that convinces an Epic to create a new emoticon for a name?

MURDERLINA KNOWS NOT WHAT COULD PROVOKE SUCH DEPRAVITY!

Sorry- I meant that might take some time to think of.

Thus succeeding in making him even more of a slontze than he was before.  <_<

Woo! Now if only I could get in touch with Joss Whedon I have a couple of nits to pick about scientific inaccuracies in the new Avengers movie... :P

EDIT: Ah, sorry second double post of the day, thought someone would have ninja'd a reply in before this went through.

I know that train scene showed how they lack any kind of understanding how the traffic-system actually works. <_<:P

The protagonist was saved by Dues Ex Machina? Koschei can help! :P

By killing the Protagonist. :P

On behalf of all the Americans who haven't seen it yet I'd like to point a friendly finger at the spoiler discussion on the Entertainment board. ;)

Oh, I'm a Bureaucrat now. Bureaucrats are cool. B):D

No problem. :)

If the official WHIO wiki doesn't include phrases like that every now and then, we're doing it wrong. :P

Also, just a heads up: its raining and pouring and storming where I am right now. A couple miles away people are losing power. So if I suddenly disappear for a few days, it's probably because I'm physically incapable of accessing the Internet and can't get anyone to drive me to the local burger joint with free WiFi.

Blame Rainmaker.  She's upset you haven't written an epic for Corvallis yet ;).

Also a quick note on that last Converter post, Electricity once in contact with the ground is not particularly likely to then travel through the human body and shock them. Immolating a couple of people purely from the heat could work, although that calls into question where all the energy came from but to shock people you'd need to pass the current through them without grounding it.

Does Rainmaker's post still work?  I have her noticing the electricity, which is why she decides not to use lightening.  I'm curious to see how Converter gets out of this one, especially since she didn't seem to be ready for such an attack.

EDIT:  I'll get around to the wiki eventually.  Sorry I'm slow!

EDIT 2:  Also, just in case anyone is wondering about Rainmaker's attack, it looks kind of like this, haha:

Yes, she still uses electricity.

I am to. If she absorbs all the air's kinetic energy, it would create a good insulation around her. Most likely.

Other than that, have no idea.

Well, at the very least, this attack should make Converter angry enough that if she is forced to reincarnate, it would make sense for her to have motive to come back to Corvallis for revenge.

She can take the kinetic energy from the wind, but what would that do about air temperature? Also, I'm curious with how she deals with the hail stone, since her back was turned, and she used all of her energy up in the electrical attack.

Since things seem to be getting heated between our characters (lol), after the next round of posts (to give Converter, Cornucopia, Chase, and the girls a chance to respond), we might want to consider work-shopping out how we want the rest of this fight to go in a PM or a google doc or something.

I regret not being able to upvote your FE picture more than once.

Well, kinetic absorption clearly saves her from the winds and the hail if she notices it. Once she's absorbed that energy, converting it to heat should allow her to counteract the cold. Another option is to let her die, reincarnate, and then try to get back to Corvallis for revenge or whatever other reason you'd like.

Okay, so I finally read the Converter post, I didn't find any additional physcs problems but how does Converter know that all the people just walking up to her without a worry aren't Epics?

Yes, she still uses electricity.

Just with the cave eat that she also couldn't breathe then.

You can always try "I was frozen today!" or a Persona 3 execution joke. :P

I finally did some work on the wiki! Although it was only a rather small edit on Lucentia's page to adapt to the timeline change after Firefight. Before I start working on another pge, how do I recrop images and to what size for the profiles?

Posted

As promised, a Conflux comic. Firefight spoilers follow.

In Firefight, two things are implied.

1. Conflux faced his fear sometime before the events of Steelheart.

2. His fear was probably dogs.

Here's one way it could have….okay, it probably didn't happen this way. :P

I've been going for approximately 390 x 410 for the infobox pictures, using mypictr.com for the actual cropping.

And thanks for the edit. ^_^

ANOTHER weirdo?

Definitely worth the anticipation. I cannot give this enough upvotes. :D:lol:

No Epic who calls himself "Insulation" is going to sell normal slaves. :P

I love how the pug in the last frame is wearing a cape

Thanks, guys! :D

Is that Steelpug I spy there at the end? No wonder this comic is worthy of upvotes. :P

I'll tell Voidgaze to hug me as well. :P

Talking about Voidgaze, I started her page but I'm going to bed now, so it's still pretty bare bones. I'm going to fill in most of it as I get time but I would appreciate it if someone else could fill in personality and behaviour. Getting an unbiased opinion there would be nice. ;)

Steelpug would be a much better ruler than Steelheart. :P

I'll try and add something today. And if anyone else wants to add anything to my characters' profiles, I'd also appreciate the unbiased input.

All this talk of "unbiased opinions." I suppose it would be bad form of me to start a Sam article with "SAM IS THE BESTEST CHARACTER IN ALL OF OREGON!!1!" ? :P

Not sure if I would give Kobold that rulership position.

Thanks.  How detailed do we want to make the pages anyway?

That titel goes to whever kills Nighthound. :P Anyway, I personally would prefere it if the personality and behaviour section gets primarily written by other people. Just gives a better impression of what has been shown and isn't corrupted by mental image.

Given that we know from Koschei's POV that he didn't have an extra ability to recreate that wounds or something like that but that it was the act of taking his powers itself back this whole survial of the hostages is honestly pretty much a plothole.

And I was talking about Remington, sorry if that wasn't clear.

Ooooh, is that what Koschei was doing? Gifting healing and then retracting it?

I always assumed he just had a power where he could heal people (not through gifting just by healing) but could undo any healing he had performed.

yes, as long as you leave a space for her to breath haha

and like Comatose said, she could heat herself up with the kinetic energy from the air and hailstone (lots of energy in that!) by converting it into heat.

but like they said, maybe she dies in this battle? Then she returns in a few days, more wary, and runs into Iconoclast.

I think that's a good idea. I won't be posting any Iconoclast stuff until this is resolved, to give him time to get back to the house.
