Given that we know from Koschei's POV that he didn't have an extra ability to recreate that wounds or something like that but that it was the act of taking his powers itself back this whole survial of the hostages is honestly pretty much a plothole.

And I was talking about Remington, sorry if that wasn't clear.

Could be that since enough time had passed since the throat-slitting incident that the hostages bodies had healed themselves so when Koschei's powers were removed it didn't matter anymore.

Also a quick note on that last Converter post, Electricity once in contact with the ground is not particularly likely to then travel through the human body and shock them. Immolating a couple of people purely from the heat could work, although that calls into question where all the energy came from but to shock people you'd need to pass the current through them without grounding it.

So if I was to change it so that she shocked the people near her, and the electricity traveled to the people who were touching them, would that work.

That could work. Naturally it would mean that Koschei actually didn't have any power over his hostages but as long as he didn't do any demonstrations after the wounds had time to heal no one would have known.

I think so, particularly in such a crowd you could definitely fry a couple dozen people with that. Heat would be a lot more effective by just creating an explosion but Epics don't always perform relative cost analyses on their abilities I guess :P

Thus succeeding in making him even more of a slontze than he was before.  <_<

Woo! Now if only I could get in touch with Joss Whedon I have a couple of nits to pick about scientific inaccuracies in the new Avengers movie... :P

EDIT: Ah, sorry second double post of the day, thought someone would have ninja'd a reply in before this went through.

I like this solution. It also means Koschei wouldn't have inflicted any new wounds on his hostages in the meantime to preserve the illusion that he could kill them at any time. There's also the possibility that he didn't know about this, making his refusal to inflict any new wounds on them due to arrogance.

That pug is awesome.

And then I would have to change the title of her post from, Converter's electrifying experience, to something else.

Sure beats what I would have proposed, which would have involved adding giving Koschei the ability to create plot holes in any narrative. :P

All your children survived when they should have died? No problem!

The villain really could have just set off his Big Destructive Machine at the beginning? No big deal!

The protagonist was saved by Dues Ex Machina? Koschei can help! :P

Will a Conflux comic do? ;)

I know some shows that would be impervious to this power, since they're already full of more holes than Swiss cheese anyway. <_<

Also, Voidus, after rewatching an episode of Gravity Falls, I've concluded we need an Epic named ;( (pronounced "Winky Frown").

Comics are always an acceptable substitute :P

I already have an Epic called the Scowling Cowl Crusader, I could just swap the name out. (Terrific name though it is :P)
