That's an interesting thought. We know crem is essential for agriculture on Roshar, that seems to imply it is of cultivation. What would the everstorm drop? Acid, to corrode the very rock as hate corrodes the soul?

Too melodramatic, probably.

Also most likely what the continent is made of, at that.

Useful stuff, crem.

I asked a similar question at the Atlanta Firefight signing, also RAFO. Glad to see someone else is thinking along the same lines.

There have been a lot of both reasonable and wild hypotheses about crem in the past, especially before WoR (it is a gift from Cultivation, it makes up shardplate, it contains physical stormlight, it makes voidbringers, etc.) While crem seems mundane, its close association with Highstorms, which are indisputably magical, suggests that there is something more going on.

Storms, the ideas people come up with, think something up that includes cremlings

Read And Find Out.

Meaning he won't / can't tell you right now, you might be able to read about it later.

Sorry my quote function isn't working

Actually this might not be to far from the truth. Real rain is slightly acidic, about as much as milk, but it can play an important part of snapping an ecosystem and the geology of an area. It isn't that hard to think that the everstorm could be more corrosive then a usual ran or highstorm
