No, she didn't send it because of all the flirting. :P She'll contact him over radio soon to let him know she's vetted an Epic ally from Dallesport.

It'd be in character for him to contact her now to get a report on the situation at Game's clinic. Objections?

None at all, hearing Autumn explain how she "vetted" Shiny Sparkle should be highly entertaining. :P

This plan is pleasing to my eyes. :P

Backtrack, Deathwish, and Arsenal posts up. Does anyone want to meet Glamour? He'll have nothing to do, now that the pandas are pulling out.

Call me a member an organization dedicated to assessing the worst turn a situatin would take that just pretends to no longer be in business (I'm still of the opinion that in a setting with supernatural people such as Epics a organisation of normals should, at the very least at important positions such as Readers office, have a door that leads into a room that only a single person can fit in and only opens either by some form of finger print scan or from the outside after proper identification to keep invisivble Epics and the like to just sneak in  ) but given the inconsistencies in her story I would have asked for some form of identification, which Tylor would not have been able to provide. Or to phrase it another way, she knows neither protocol nor who she's pretending to be, making her plan somewhat faulty.

I will fully acknowledge the faultiness of her plan. Your analysis matches what I kind of expect to happen. I think its less of a matter if Taylor gets discovered, and more a matter of when and how.

EDIT: Just read Arsenals post. Will the guards be escorting "the Captain" to Arsenal, or just be sending 'him' there? Basically I'm wondering what level of supervision and scrutiny Taylor will be under until she reaches Arsenal. Also, what happens with Brandon? Would he be taken to Arsenal as well, or sent off somewhere else? It might be amusing if he and Taylor were to get separated :)

Pity all the hot Epic chicks in town could get around quickly on their own

<_< At least one new "hot Epic chick in town" can also get around on her own.

No problems with a character having a flawed plan. (And maybe I just wanted a roundabout way to poke Kobold about the worst that could happen foundation. )

Have I fully established Deathwish as a slimy slontze by this point, then? :P

(Poke received.)

Have you ever. <_<  I'm almost thinking he needs a lecture from Lightwards on the horrors of romance. :P

I'll tone down his more, er, sleazy qualities in the average post then. Though I'm afraid I'm obligated at this point to have him hit on Edgerunner and Scribbler when he sees them.

(He pedaled drugs for a biker gang before Calamity, by the way. Just in case you needed another reason to hate him. :P)

Comparing him to Nighthound would be an insult one way or another, right? :P Only at the two and not Shiny Sparkle or MV?

(He was actually worse than Nighthound before Calamity then.)

Those ones would make more sense, actually, as presumably the City Guard Epics have already turned him down enough times to make him (almost) stop trying. What are the chances of Shiny Sparkle trying to blow him up when he gets touchy-feely, though?

(What did Nighthound do for a living before Calamity? I'm going to assume he didn't run a charity for little orphans.)

If you're angling to have him redeemed later on, tone those qualities down. If not, go on and play them up. It'll just make his comeuppance all the more satisfying.:P

Or Autumn? How often has he hit on Autumn? (And when he was finally captured by the City Guard, did he hit on Autumn when she interviewed him?)

(He still doesn't remind me of a serial killer. I can't say the same for Nighthound.)

I doubt I'll go for a redemptive arc for him. Comeuppance will be far more satisfying.:P

Depends on how conventionally attractive you'd describe Autumn as--he's a very shallow human being. He'd probably flirt with her at least a little, a lot when he was in her custody.

If I could ask the thread's collective opinion: what would you guys say to the possibility of making police sirens Deathwish's weakness? I was considering establishing that the City Guard doesn't use sirens for that very reason, and making most of the higher-ups aware of their weakening effect on his powers.

I'm interested to see what his interaction is with Taylor, if they ever meet up.

She's cute. Not gorgeous, not beautiful, but not plain, either. And she would hold the flirting against him. "Attempted seduction to evade justice," is probably what she'd write in her report, barely restraining herself from adding the words "pathetic," "over-the-top" and "disgusting amount of confidence in his own unimpressive looks" somewhere in there. :P

For sleazy guys like him there's always the "make his pants disapear in a shiny explosion" approach. He probably would have to worry more about hitting on Autumn.

(...well... he was studying but his father was a vet and Michael often helped out around the clinic and more than once he nursed animal back to health that his sister brought home.)

You know, it says a lot about Shiny Sparkle that she has fallen for Autumn before we got a description of her as cute. :P

I agree.

A blonde with super-supermodel physique... yeah, I don't see her walking away from the meeting without Deathwish making a slontze out of himself.

That's OK. Arsenal would have added them mentally when he received the report anyway. :P

(And because I'm mildly curious: how "cute" is Funtimes? In fanon past she had a whole league of exes, but it's unclear whether most of those were just dating her for her powers and how many also appreciated her looks. Nathan's also been silent on the subject, possibly due to a lifetime of training not to look too closely at female Epics. :P)

Shiny Sparkle should be careful about blowing stuff up around him--if her explosions produce any kind of shrapnel, the chances of him getting his skin cut are pretty high.

(Whoah. Michael Jager was basically a male, human Fluttershy. :oCALAMITY IS A SLONTZE.)

Since you both like the weakness, I guess it's canon now. (Also, making siren sounds with your mouth is enough to slightly slow his healing and cancel his damage redirection. Keep that in mind.:P)

(On the Sliding Scale of Cuteness™, she's at the "adorable" end. Small, thin and not curvy, with short curly hair, a sort of roundish face, high cheekbones, and big brown eyes—she's definitely attractive, while not exactly fitting into the current definition of "gorgeous." You know the one—tall, thin but still curvy, narrow features, full lips? She doesn't look like that, but she is good-looking enough to have captured Fortuity's interest.)

(What would doing this do? :P

She can always drop him in the ocean. (What if it's his throat that got damaged.)

(He was a lot more confrontational compared to Fluttershy, the type that would get in a fight with a bully, even if he wasn't the one getting bullied.)

(So unless he had some deep dark secret you haven't told us yet, you're saying Michael Jager was the kind of guy any girl would be delighted to bring home to her parents? The kind of guy I'd actually want to date? And Calamity turned him into Night-"I Don't Obey Restraining Orders and I'd Like to See You Stop Me You Cute Thing"-hound?

(Can we go assassinate Calamity now?

That makes sense with how I've been picturing her. (I keep using the phrase "conventional attractiveness," since I think that beauty is first and foremost subjective, and secondly I think modern media has a far too rigid definition of attractiveness. Just making sure my phrasing is clear.)

Sam fits in that general appearance category--she's short, slim, with short hair and a boyish figure. Revolution might fit closer to the media's definition of "gorgeous," but honestly I haven't thought about it much. :P

(That would probably do it, but Arsenal would put an end to it posthaste. :P)

If the injury's internal, it doesn't heal and it isn't redirected.

(Still way better than he is nowadays. :()

I think the City Guard has a new theme song. :P

Is this the point where we describe how attractive our characters are?

That, or what their favorite flavors of jam are. I would find that information far more relevant to their characters than attractiveness, anyway. :P

It's a pity more of us haven't read Stormlight. It'd be fun to imagine Oregon characters as Rosharans.

(Hint: Backtrack is best Ghostblood. :P)
