Kobold King he/him Posted March 17, 2015 Posted March 17, 2015 Why do people keep assuming that Shiny Sparkle is ridiculously dressed, 'cause appart from the sunglasses she really isn't? Maybe people subconsciously mix her up with Funtimes? Or maybe it's because her general personality makes people assume she must be wearing outlandish clothing. Have you posted a physical description of her that includes her clothing? Ooh, I like those. Cutcloud gets the song "Broken Glass" from Victorious in my head. Do the glass clouds remain under his control? Thanks. If you want them to. I didn't think him through that well.

I think it sounds like they would, at least for a time.

TwiLyghtSansSparkles she/her Posted March 17, 2015 Author Posted March 17, 2015 May I ask who will be meeting these cannon fodders, or is that classified? They'll be attending a Cannon Fodder Meet and Greet, where they meet each other before more powerful Epics crash the party. Which is a very odd way of saying RAFO. 4
Mailliw73 he/him Posted March 17, 2015 Posted March 17, 2015 When I saved the original comic on my laptop, I called it sowrong.png. Just so you know what you're getting into. ............. Wow. Um. Wow. What is her cutie mark? I can't quite tell. Is it a wave? On the topic of integration into the thread, I think I'm getting a feel for what is all going on, but am unsure about relative locations. If Taylor walks into the Dalles (direction is negotiable) who / what is she likely to run into / see first?? Aonar covered it well. If you want her to join with a group of Epics under the command of a delusional Epic who thinks Koschei the Deathless is a god and will be returning and so the city needs to be reclaimed for him, then Freq and his gang are the choice for you! Random question of the day in no way related to a possible RP scenario: If Edgerunner were to hypothetically decrease the friction of Reader's pants, they would fall down in front of everyone, correct? 3

Yeah, it's a wave. Glad I could break your brain. I think that sounds reasonable. Though there might be other factors to take into account, like how tight they are and whatnot. Although....maybe if she aimed for the button and zipper, decreasing the friction on those, she might be able to let gravity do the rest.
Kobold King he/him Posted March 17, 2015 Posted March 17, 2015 Also a completely theoretical question: what Taylor Swift song would be best suited for playing in the midst of a panda invasion?
Blackhoof Posted March 17, 2015 Posted March 17, 2015 Plot wise there wouldn't be a problem. Although, as Voidus points out, a good number of Epic could just walk straight through his ghouls. Worst of all Bloody Mary, given that every Vanilla he turns after coming to Astoria would already have been infected by her, so she could just use them as her own puppets. hmmm fair enough I might create another character to use, because I don't want to overpower Iconoclast to the degree that it seems like i would need to, it goes against my idea for the character. I'll keep him in reserve for now, I think
Blackhoof Posted March 17, 2015 Posted March 17, 2015 (edited) How about this, for whatever RP wants me haha Maybe Astoria, since I don't want to cause too much disruption in Dalles and I like the idea of playing with a bunch of OP Epics haha Name: Hellfire Primary Power: Pyrokinesis. Can create and control fire. Can also control many properties of the fire he creates or controls, such as temperature, colour, smoke, shape (to some degree), solidity (can turn fire into a sort of plasma or napalm) and force (can make fireballs explode or have a kick to them when they hit). Unlike other Fire Epics, does not have a permanent fire shield around him and has to maintain it consciously at effort, lacking an inherent Prime Invincibility. Can use his power to fly. Secondary Power: Heightened Senses and Reflexes. Has reflexes that move at faster than the speed of sound, and can see, hear and smell far better than any human. This combines with his ability to create shields of flame to give him what is nearly a PI. Weakness: Salt water. Nearly drowned as a child, so fears the touch and especially taste of salt water. If he tastes it, he loses his powers completely. Quenches his fire instead of evaporating like fresh water would, and if he is wet with it he cannot ignite that part of his body or create fire through it, although he can still control existing fire and react super-fast. Modus Operandi: Ruled over an empire in the Australian outback, taking Ayers Rock as his fortress and allying with an Earth epic to carve out a city in its insides. Renamed it Hell's Rock, and marked the boundaries of his kingdom with a huge wall of fire. An evil, sadistic tyrant who delighted in burning people to death when they displeased him. Surprisingly cool-tempered for a fire epic, and usually possessed a cold anger when enraged. Did work to provide some amenities for his subjects though, creating a system of cold flames to cool down the place. Although did use these cold flames to freeze people to shake things up a bit. Backstory: Was an Ayers Rock tour guide before he manifested about two years after Calamity. His Rending killed his tour group and everyone else on Uluru, before declaring it and the surrounding area his domain. Recently fought off a group of American epics who tried to steal his kingdom, and they claimed that they were sent by (insert Epic emperor/ess from whatever RP i join), lying in an attempt to get mercy. It didn't work. Now he has come himself to teach this Epic a lesson, and warn any other American Epics from daring to cross the ocean. He was Australian, mate. OOC: I'm thinking he can pop in and ally with whoever is opposed to the Epic he is after. He doesn't necessarily want to kill the Epic, but cause destruction and trouble for them as a warning, mess their territory up a bit. Edited March 17, 2015 by Blackhoof 1
Voidus Posted March 17, 2015 Posted March 17, 2015 Voidus, can I put in an order for about four cannon fodder Epics? Well you already received some suggestions but some more: Antiflame: Produces purple flames with temporal restorative powers, capable of reversing the time of any non-living thing they touch. BurnHeart: Capable of manifesting empathic flames in addition to a more normal variety, these flames can force certain emotional states on his victim as he burns them as well as revealing insight into their minds. Firewall: Can increase the heat within a prescribed plane to extraordinarily high levels, enough to instantly vaporize most materials. Tripmine: Can mentally cause any object he has touched to explode. Jetpack: Can shoot blasts of fire from both hands which provides enough thrust to lift his body. (Fire version of the Spyril) Empath: Empathic manifestation, can cause peoples emotions to manifest physically, can either use the properties of these manifestations to his advantage (Eg. Manifestations of pain tend to attack their sufferer, while manifestations of rage tend to attack others) Or destroy the manifestation to prevent the person from feeling that emotion. Geode: Terrakinetic abilities, capable of fracturing and manipulating stone. Also possesses Terra-projection capabilities. He can project his consciousness within a 1-mile radius where nearby dirt will form into an approximation of his body. Severance: Force field Epic, capable of creating and manipulating force-fields, can be used either offensively or defensively. While he has an incredible degree of control over his force fields they’re also very limited in range, he cannot produce or manipulate a forcefield to exist more than 5 metres away from his body. 4

What if he met Sam and made a manifestation of snarkiness? 2
Voidus Posted March 17, 2015 Posted March 17, 2015 What if he met Sam and made a manifestation of snarkiness? It would run around tearing the hearts out of Epics. 2
Blackhoof Posted March 17, 2015 Posted March 17, 2015 Ooh can I suggest random cannon fodder Epics too? Skyscraper: Can fly with perfect control at whatever speed his body can handle, and however high he can go without suffocating. Foliage: Can create and control plants to a limited degree, causing them to grow at very fast speeds. Discworld: Can create discs of energy and fling them around with his power. The disks can either be sharp, very dense and heavy. explosive, or glow brightly. Cacodaemon: Can shoot powerful lasers out of his eyes. 3

Thanks. I'll definitely be taking Burnheart and Geode, and possibly Antiflame. Perhaps Tripmine as well. And from Kobold, can I take Cutcloud and Menagerie? (And yes this is more than four, but a better plan is taking shape. ) 1

Should do, I can't think of any other forces at play that would hold them up.
Blackhoof Posted March 18, 2015 Posted March 18, 2015 Seems to me it would make his pants incredibly slippery, so there is no grip between them. if his belt is tight enough, it won't matter, since the belt wont expand to fall around his waist. If its loose enough they should slip off.

If its loose enough they should slip off. Belts are pretty flexible, with no friction unless it hits a plane perpendicular to the force (gravity) it should still slip down but yeah it does depend on how elastic it is.

So unless Reader is wearing sweatpants (or, as they're sometimes called here, "fat pants" ) his dignity is doomed?
Voidus Posted March 18, 2015 Posted March 18, 2015 So unless Reader is wearing sweatpants (or, as they're sometimes called here, "fat pants" ) his dignity is doomed? The opposite, if he wears a really tight belt made of solid steel he'd be safe, anything elastic and he's: ed 2
