Robinski he/him Posted October 22, 2015 Posted October 22, 2015 Yep, I was afraid I made it too easy... Or I could be amazingly perceptive - but your answer is more likely :-) In the course of a single working day, a man gambles all his money away, crashes his car and loses his girlfriend.
ThirdGen Posted October 25, 2015 Posted October 25, 2015 I'm stumped. Any hints? Or does anybody have a guess?
Jo and the Bush all/any Posted October 25, 2015 Posted October 25, 2015 The hangover? Yes man? Madmax?
Robinski he/him Posted October 26, 2015 Posted October 26, 2015 (edited) Hint: It's sort of topical. He loses his money, his car, his girl, and also has a heart-attack... Edited October 26, 2015 by Robinski 1
Robinski he/him Posted October 29, 2015 Posted October 29, 2015 Man, I hope the sky doesn't fall down if no-one gets this right. That spectre would haunt me for the rest of my days.
Shrike76 he/him Posted October 29, 2015 Posted October 29, 2015 Man, I hope the sky doesn't fall down if no-one gets this right. That spectre would haunt me for the rest of my days. I'm not even a fan, but those sound like club-me-over-the-head James Bond hints? Was it Skyfall?
little wilson she/her Posted October 29, 2015 Posted October 29, 2015 It's Casino Royale. His poor Aston Martin. That car crash made me so sad.
ThirdGen Posted October 29, 2015 Posted October 29, 2015 It's Casino Royale. His poor Aston Martin. That car crash made me so sad. So I mixed James Bond up with the Babbitt Brothers. I don't know if that's facepalm-worthy or kind of awesome.
little wilson she/her Posted October 30, 2015 Posted October 30, 2015 Well, I guess since I got the last one, it's my turn. I always make these too easy, but we'll see how this goes. A leader and his men have their livelihoods taken from them when their vassals try to be independent. EDIT: This is a movie. The vassals declare their independence by allying themselves with a bunch of brigands. The setting is in Mexico, but the brigands hail from a town just over the American border....well. Ish. That's where the brigands are when the vassals find them.
little wilson she/her Posted November 7, 2015 Posted November 7, 2015 Incorrect. This predates Three Amigos by over 20 years. Also, there are 7 brigands.
ThirdGen Posted November 8, 2015 Posted November 8, 2015 An artist foils a major drug-running operation by turning into large machines.
ThirdGen Posted November 8, 2015 Posted November 8, 2015 That's funny. No, this is a pretty literal description. He fights on the side of kids.
Delightful Posted November 8, 2015 Posted November 8, 2015 To clarify: the artist turns into large machines? Like becomes a transformer type of thing??
ThirdGen Posted November 9, 2015 Posted November 9, 2015 He turns into a car, a giant robot, and a spaceship.
ThirdGen Posted November 9, 2015 Posted November 9, 2015 Alfa hinna onna woonchaOnna wooncha Onna wooncha oh HOW. ...That means you win.
Alfa he/him Posted November 9, 2015 Posted November 9, 2015 Well, then it's again that: A bunch of partly suicidal and partly ridicolously overpowered terrorists try to kill the biggest employer of the planet by exploiting his secret weakness. In the process they kill a large three-digit number of his employees by their own hands, including some of his top-level managers.
