Natone423 Posted February 17, 2015 Posted February 17, 2015 Does anyone else wish there were two Brandons out there? I totally appreciate the speed at which he writes such quality fantasy books, but I can't help wanting MORE!!! Haha 3
Kobold King he/him Posted February 17, 2015 Posted February 17, 2015 Wouldn't we then need two Emily Sandersons, and either second versions of all his children or a complex visiting schedule? And wouldn't TOR then be required to hire two separate teams of people to publish the vast numbers of novels the pair create? What if they wrote two conflicting versions versions of the Cosmere? Or what if both Brandon Sandersons wanted to write the same novel? What if the two of them fought to the death for the right to write Elantris 2? Other than those considerations, it's an excellent suggestion. Welcome to the forum! 4
vineyarddawg Posted February 17, 2015 Posted February 17, 2015 Welcome to the 17th Shard! A word of warning, though... beware of strangers offering cookies.
Voidus Posted February 17, 2015 Posted February 17, 2015 Welcome to the forums! That would indeed be great, although even with just the one he does get a lot written compared to other authors (Looking at you GRRM and Rothfuss)Would you care for a welcome-to-the-forums-cookie?
Brightness Random she/her Posted February 17, 2015 Posted February 17, 2015 Welcome to the 17th Shard, Natone423! Having two Brandons certainly seems like a good idea, I think. Which of Brandons books have you read? Which is your favorite?
SmurfAquamarineBodies he/him Posted February 17, 2015 Posted February 17, 2015 What if they wrote two conflicting versions versions of the Cosmere? Or what if both Brandon Sandersons wanted to write the same novel? What if the two of them fought to the death for the right to write Elantris 2? Well then we would be left with the stronger. Unless the other Brandon was the evil twin and he won the fight to the death. Then we would be left with the evil twin who would refuse to write long novels and would only release short stories that got steadily worse until no-one read the books anymore. Thereby realising his plan for forum domination.
Phin he/him Posted February 17, 2015 Posted February 17, 2015 Then we would be left with the evil twin who would refuse to write long novels and would only release short stories that got steadily worse until no-one read the books anymore. Is this what happened to Stephen King? (Disclaimer, please don't kill me: This is in no way comparing Sanderson and King, just saying that I was once a King fan, now I don't care anymore.)
